It was one of these afternoons where Fuller wanted to spent the lunch far away from his office. He went out of the office and knew he had around one hour to clear his head. The paperwork was piling up and starting to crowd his brain. He left notes for the secretary then he exited the office. The sun was shining down upon him with a warm feelingβto it, maybe a little too warm, but it did not really bother him.
He walked while looking for a placeβto eat his lunch he noticed a bench close to the cemetery and a young man which was already sitting there. He titled his head, though he felt unsure if the young man would notice him now.
So he went and stood then close to him but with a respectful distance. He cleared his throat.
"Do you sit here for lunches often? May I?" He pointed beside him. @devotedsenior
Tim had been in his new position at the Capitol for some time now. His afternoons were a quiet time to drink his liter of milk and read the newspaper to stay up-to-date.
That afternoon he wasn't expecting anyone; he was new and barely knew his coworkers or his boss. His family, in particular, lived on the other side of town, while he lived in a tiny, clandestine apartment in an old building.
Upon hearing the stranger's presence, he raised his gaze, nodding in response to the question.
β Sure, go ahead. β

It is later in the evening when Hawk planned to see @devotedsenior .
He was only a few steps away from his flat door.
When he reached it, he gave it a soft knock.
Tim was listening to the Rockettes that night and when he heard the drumbeat he put down the wooden spoon he was stirring his soup with.
As he opened the door, he smiled, making room for Hawk to enter.
β Hawk, come in. β
For the older man, it was not a usual thing to appear like this one in someoneβs place. When Tim opened the door and the scent of soup was reaching his nose, he smiled. βMaking some dinner for yourself? I hope I donβt disturb you in your evening routine.β He hadnβt informed the other at all and now standing in his flat Hawk tried to make the best of it.
He put his hat and his jacket over a chair and sat down on it, watching the boy making his soup while the Rockettes played a song in the background.
β I didn't know you were coming, Mr. Fuller β
Tim was sorry he hadn't made soup for two, but he could divide the portions. As he let Hawk pass, he felt sorry for the situation. Tim always was; it wasn't the place Hawk was used to living.
β Would you like something to drink? β
He was just sitting there, but when Tim was going back to his soup he stood up, joining him. There was the pull, and Fuller had felt this pull from the moment he had seen him on the political event. The young man who had ordered the milk, pulling Fuller into the moment where he couldnβt escape. He had always an eye for a young man like Tim, but here something else was happening, and he got out of the habit and didnβt want to pull this one into one of his dirty hotels. So something was shifting for him.
βIs okay, Mr. Laughlin. Or should I call you Skippy? I call you Skippy.β He was standing next to him smiling at the fact he was making this easy soup, βDonβt worry, I am not here to eat your soup away. I wanted to be here because i wasnβt getting you out of my mind any more.β He smiled and gave him a small nod, βWhat do you have for me?β
Tim didn't know Hawk completely and couldn't understand how Hawk seemed not to care that they were just two strangers, perhaps from different positions.
β Skippy ? β
Still, the young man nervously moved the wooden spoon around, trying to control his nerves. He didn't want to give himself away by looking at Hawk.
β I don't know what you want from me, Mr. Fuller. β
Maybe he didnβt understand now, but he would soon. Hawk had his own way of approaching things, and he didnβt pull away if he had found someone interesting.Β
A small smile was on his lips and he nodded, βYeah Skippy. You like a Skippy for me.β
He settled for that and made sure that he would feel it for what was his true intension. He leaned some closer, oh the boy had his scent. The soup mixed with his washing soup. He liked his scent. On his body language, he noticed that he was nervous. Which made him decide to test the waters with him a little more.Β
βWould you like if I kissed you?β It was one shot forward or nothing.
Tim looked nervous. Not knowing Fuller well, he seemed to want to run away to avoid being led into sin. That was the first thing that came to mind: being with a man again was a sin.
β No. Mr Fuller. β
He glanced suspiciously at his opponent, trying to focus his attention solely on the soup so as not to give in.
β It is a sin β
The moment he heard, βIt is a sin.β He didnβt react first, but something was working in him. He remembered very well what it meant to live a sin. Not only that, but he did live it every day. The voice inside his head telling him all of this and realizing he could never escape from it. He had his way of embracing it. He let his eyes on the boy, and he watched how Tim clung to the soup like it might save him.Β
βNo. That's what they taught you. But eventually, He gestured but not touching him, βThis is just wanting, and wanting isnβt wicked. Itβs human, Skippy.β He rested his back on the wall and let the moment happen as it was.Β
βIf itβs a sin. Then we both walked into it the moment we looked at each other.β
Tim had spent a long time dedicating himself solely to his religion, to his devotion. From the first moment he saw Hawk, he felt that they both shared a deep connection.
β Mr. Fuller, please β¦ β
He turned to look at the older man, begging him not to lead him into temptation, even though his tone of voice was pleading.
