I genuinely think coming to terms with the fact that you are not unique or special is one of the best things you can do for yourself

a million people before you have felt and done and suffered and rejoiced the same way you have and a billion will come after you who do the same. you are not uniquely unlovable/ugly/unforgivable/or anything else you tell yourself, because that is impossible, literally physically impossible. someone else has already done it or someone else will do it or someone is doing it with you as you speak who you will never meet. and it doesn’t mean you don’t matter, because your life is still yours, is still personal to you. but you don’t have to be alone to matter. you’re not special, and you never were, and you never could be, so stop punishing yourself as if you are.
