Backstory:
~ Sebastian is an only child.
~ His mum (Ruth Moran) and dad (Augustus Moran) divorced when he was fourteen, his dad gained full custody but Sebastian got back in contact with his mum when he was 18.
~ Growing up, he looked up to his dad but could never meet his expectations. Despite his mum being absent through a lot of his teens, Sebastian still loved her deeply.
~ His dad was abusive, verbally at first but it got physical as Sebastian got older.
~ He was always a rebel, nobody could make him toe the line. He met his best friend, Charlie Doyle, in Primary School when they were 8 and they’ve caused trouble together ever since.
~ They breezed through school; together they were every teacher’s worst nightmare. They’d rarely listen, show up, or do their homework, and yet they’d ace all their tests.
~ In his teens, he decided that he much preferred drinking and smoking weed in parks to going to school. He was a popular student, a heart throb, the guy all the girls wanted and all the boys wanted to be. He had a relationship from the age of 13 till he was 17 with a girl named Kaley. They stayed in contact even after leaving school.
~ Sebastian started to explore his sexuality when he was 17. Charlie had already come out two years earlier, and the two of them were fooling around in Sebastian’s room, but were caught by Augustus. He was punished by his father, beaten and had his arm broken, before being sent to military school to teach him discipline.
~ This meant Sebastian never formally came out, and he’s still guarded about his sexuality in public spaces. Even if he’s not ashamed of it.
~ Sebastian left school with all of his GCSE’s. He took his A Levels in military school, and walked straight into a Second Lieutenant position upon graduating.
~ He was always top of his class, the best soldier in every training exercise. His success was always accidental, half arsed and done with ease. But he had a part of him that wanted to succeed, to make his dad finally proud of him.
~ He made Lieutenant at 19; Captain at 21; Major at 26; Lieutenant Colonel at 34; and Colonel at 37, shortly before his dismissal.
