Levi was one of the most loved of the demon brothers, besides Mammon and Asmo of course. They caught the public eye for their confident personalities and impeccable sense of fashion. Levi, on the other hand, was known as the gaming legend.

All that attention came with an immeasurable amount of fans who were always tuned into his streams. His fan club grew fast as passion for their favorite streamer banded them together. Despite the large fan base there was always one fan he noticed attending every stream. They were by far Levi’s biggest giftet and most active member. They always threw words of encouragement into the chat.

“Levi, can you help me with my phone? It’s glitched or something.” His human looked up at him with pleading eyes. They knew he couldn’t say no to that face.

“Fine, just give it here.” He grumbled as if he weren’t happy to help.

Levi fumbled with the DDD for a moment. He probably just had to turn it back on and off, a simple task really. Though, something stopped him. As he was closing out the tabs he noticed the same app he streams on. He didn’t know they had an account.

He really shouldn’t.

Snooping is bad, right?

He doesn’t want his human mad at him…

Maybe a little peak won’t hurt. Are they subscribed to him? Do they watch him stream?

He glanced over at his human who was patiently waiting for their phone, off fidgeting with their fingers or counting the floor tiles. He decided this was his chance. Ignoring the ever growing sweat on his palms he entered the app.

“It’s you?!”

His eyebrows shot to the ceiling and his gaze snapped to the now confused human. His heart thudded as he processed the username in the corner.

It was them! That was the tag of his all star chatter, his most dedicated fan. His human spent every night with him. Staying with him through every raid and fight, even every loss. Their connection was getting stronger with every passing day with him completely oblivious.

He watches their face change as they realize he’s seen their Devil.Live account.

“Give that back!”

It’s a battle of tugging as Levi and the human struggle for the phone. Questions and accusations fly as the struggle. All falling along the lines of childish whines.

Levi heaves as he pulls away, phone still in his grip.

“Why are you hiding it?”

The human finally falters and steps back. Instead of their feigned annoyance embarrassment floods their face.

“Because wouldn’t it make it weird between us? I didn’t want to just be another fan, ya know…”

Levi’s heart was pounding against his ribs like a lion in a cage. There was his Henry admitting to be his fan. Levi always thought they were the coolest, always kind to the yucky otaku, so resilient when he would have failed, and always cheery.

“This doesn’t change anything.” His voice came out slightly mumbled as he feels his own bit of awkwardness.

His hands trembled as he pocketed the phone. Instead of holding the phone he opted to hold his humans hand.

The day was monotonous, boring and dull. All the brothers were busy in their own worlds, completely leaving you to your own devices. So you were stuck here staring up at the ceiling. Hm, how entertaining…

With a huff you push up from your bed, refusing to live your life like this. You live in a realm of magic for Diavolo’s sake!

Down the halls you go, hoping to find some niche nook unseen for centuries. Maybe unearth some treasure hidden under the thousands of layers of dust. Your fabled epic awaits you!

Your excitement- wait…

Something just dripped onto you. Damn it, is there a leak?

You look up, expecting a drip from the ceiling though, you are met with something much more fluffy.

Cerberus was standing right above you, slobber falls from his panting mouth.

“AH! What the hell!?” You just out of your skin.

Cerberus mocks your motion, pushing backward. He doesn’t seem to be his usual intimidating self. If anything he seemed like a normal dog, unlike the ferocious beast he’s portrayed to be.

You move again, and just like before Cerberus copy’s you. Was he… playing?

You’d never have fathomed the great Cerberus playing. Like, ever.

“Good Cerberus…?” You muttered, unsure.

What if this is a ruse? A trick to lure you into his trap.

Hesitantly you reach out, slowly getting closer. And closer. And closer.

With an underwhelming thump your hand touches Cerberus’s chest. It was incredibly fluffy.

It seems he’s happy but the content groan coming from the pup. You continue to pet him, relaxing more as your feel the fur.

With a thump he rolls onto his back, revealing his belly.

“Awe, aren’t you such a good boy” You cooed, adoring his cute behavior.

With him like this you could never believe you were ever scared of him, after all he was still a puppy at heart. A three headed ancient puppy but a puppy nonetheless.

“C’mon boy, why don’t we go play fetch!”

And with that your seemingly boring day got a whole lot fluffier.

“Yo, has anyone found the human?” Mammon asks.

“Not yet.” Satan mutters, having searched the bottom floor.

“They aren’t in their room.” Asmo sighed as he joined the group of his brothers.

When they all realized you weren’t in your room and went into a panicked frenzy, searching everywhere. Now they were led puzzled as to where you could be.

“We’ve searched upstairs and downstairs, where else is there?” Levi huffed, fidgeting with his sleeve.

They all got quiet as they realized there was only one place left, the underground tomb. As if using telekinesis they sprinted for the tomb, knowing that place was nothing but danger. Especially for the human.

With a whoosh they flung the door open and-

"Can you go get me these books from the library, I'm too busy." "Dear, can you help me fix my makeup!" "Can I copy down your homework, Beel ate mine." "Diavolo wants you to look over these forms, here." It was chaotic as usual in the house of Lamentation. It seemed as if every second someone else needed something different from you. The constant push and pull of requests and tasks left you with barely any time to think to yourself. Your brain felt as if it were mush at this point, like an untimely bowl of slime. You walked, more like stumbled, through the halls. Lucifer had called for a house meeting, which was never good. This is almost always guaranteed to involve not only bad news but an hour long lecture as well. Sadly, that meant any plans of you getting some rest were postponed for a while. It seemed as if the universe were against you today. I mean, come on! How come nothing seems to be going your way? There is always something that needs to be done and there isn't one other hand to help. You think of the piles of paperwork on your desk, the recent squabbles between the brothers, and was it your night to cook dinner? Oh, Beels gonna be mad if dinners la- Before you can finish your thought you bump into something hard, hard enough to push you to the floor. Ouch... "Yo watch where you're going, clumsy human." Mammon stands above you, looking down at you from over his glasses. "Sorry about that, Mamms." You muttered, rubbing the ache now present in your backside. He pauses for a moment and stars you down, even taking off his glasses to do so. He gets closer, inches from your face. The thumping in your chest pounds fast and loud. Closer. Closer.

"Your eye bags are worse than Lucifers." He states matter-of-factly. You let out a huff of a breath and shove him away, "Wow, thanks for the confidence boost. I totally needed an insult right now." You push off the ground, now not only tired but annoyed. He follows you back up, resting a hand on your shoulder. "Hey, hey, hey, ya know I didn't mean it like that." "Then how did you mean it." You crossed your arms in front of you. "You've never looked more tired, haven't you gotten any sleep recently?"

You stay quiet, feeling oddly guilty. "Just as I thought. That's it, you're coming with me." Before you know it he has you hoisted up into his arms. "Hey! What do you think you're doing?!" Out of surprise you wrap your arms around his neck. "You could've at least given me a warning, idiot!" "Yeah yeah, just quit your whining. You're coming to my room." "You don't just get to choose for me! I have actual stuff to do today, I can't just be slacking off. Besides, we can't miss that meeting." "All that stuff can wait." He begins to walk while you continue your protests. All your responsibilities scratched at your brain, leaving you feeling raw. If you don't get them done you'll have to face everyone's disappointment. You'd rather miss years of sleep if it meant you could avoid that.

Mammon interrupts your onslaught of excuses, "I refuse to let my human walk around like a zombie. Please let me help, I'm seriously worried." His eyes stare back into yours and you know you can no longer keep your stance. He looks so earnest, like he means it with all his beings. "Pretty please?..." Damn it... "Fine. But you better tell Lucifer it's your fault we're not at the meeting." "I'm willing to do that if it means you get some rest." He says quietly. The rest of the walk to his room is filled with comfortable silence. Moments like these were rare with Mammon seeing as you had very little alone time with him. These times were precious.

Once you're both in his room he sets you down on his bed. The inside of the covers are practically begging for you to cuddle up inside them.

During the night the House of Lamentation is quiet, aside from the gamer rage coming from Levi’s room that is. You are continuing to adjust to the time differences so you find it hard to get some sleep here in The Devildom. When the insomnia hits there is no better place to relax than the library. No rowdy brothers running in and out, no constant arguing, only you and the flicks of fire to keep you company.  Tonight was one of those nights.

Your day had been rough, sporting headaches and stress. There were assignments upon assignments you still haven't finished as well as some idiodic demons deciding they were going to “Show you whose boss” by attempting to duel you. There was not one moment of rest during the day and now, just when you tried to get some rest, your brain was running endlessly. It just couldn’t seem to slow down and relax, as if your homework would jump off your bed and attack at any given moment. So you get out of bed and put your slipper on. It was like clock work, almost methodic with how many times you’ve done this. Down the hallway you pad, approaching the familiar room.

Somethings different. 

Quickly you notice the crack in the door from which light twinkled. The fireplace was already going, something out of the ordinary. You approach the door and quietly creak it open. You’re surprised as ruby eyes meet yours. Lucifer sat on the couch, looking back at you from over his glasses. He seems just as surprised to see you there just as much as you were to see him. Usually he’d be locked away in his study, rarely seen unless there was business to be tended to.  “Lamb? What are you doing awake?” His voice calls out to you from across the room, making soft ripples through the air.

The usually harsh man seemed docile in this moment. Lucifer's usual attire had been forgotten and replaced with his more casual black pants and shirt. For once not everything about him was polished to the point of  shining. Right now, he just seemed like a regular man instead of the formidable force he truly was. You didn’t see him like this often but it was a very welcome surprise. 

“I just had some trouble sleeping.” You muttered as you stepped through the threshold of the door.

“I’m sorry to hear that, why don't you come sit with me?” 

Taking his invitation you walk over, sitting next to him on the plush couch. Now that you were close up you get a full view of the tiredness plaguing him as well. He had eyebags etched into his porcelain skin from long nights and endless stress.

“Looks like I’m not the only one who can’t sleep, hm?” You question as your eyes study his. 

He sighs, beginning to say something before pausing. Lucifer always kept up a front. He always pretended he was always in tip top shape, that he never needed help. The instinct to deny he was tired was strong, but you always could tell when he was lying.

“Yes,” He pushes the black strands of hair from his face, “It seems as if my amount of work has doubled over the last few days. My fingers feel like lead from writing all day. On top of that there has been problem after problem with my brothers. I just… need a moment of rest.”

A frown pulled at your lips. Seeing Lucifer like this made your heart ache in pity. You wanted to help as best you could, especially because he was willing to be vulnerable with you.

“Is there any way I could help? Maybe I could assist in doing your papers work? Oh! Or I could take over your brother duties. I’m sure I could handle whatever problems arise. Maybe-”

Before you could continue Lucifer reaches over and presses a finger to your lips.

“There’s no need for all that.” His voice was sincere but the want to ease his mind still ate at you.

“Are you sure? But-” “But nothing. These are my problems, not yours. I’m sure you have your own things to do and I refuse to add to your plate.” “I just wanna help…” You mumbled. With a sigh he removes his finger. “You sure are persistent.” Unexpectedly he pulls you flush against him, wrapping his arm around your waist. His warmth quickly seeps into your side, leaving you feeling relaxed. “The best thing you can do right now is stay in my company. Sit with me and enjoy the quiet, Lamb.”
