Mandela County is, for the most part, a quiet place.

But conflict is inevitable.

Some accuse their neighbors of hoarding resources, unwilling to share their spoils; some accuse their neighbors of blasphemy against the Shepherd; some even go as far as to imply their fellow neighbor had taken a life.

The Shepherd cannot personally check every single allegation and resolve the disputes—a busy man such as he would rather attend to far more important affairs. The Judge, the Jury, and the Executioner takes care of these matters in the Shepherd’s stead; three individuals personally appointed by the Shepherd to guide his lambs towards the light.
