also overpopulation is a bad reason against immortality like why would we as a species continue to have children if we were all immortal. it all reeks of some kind of morality play that exaggerates one great hubris but doesnt allow for the possibility that if something fantastical is possible (eternal life) then something that’s equally fantastical (people not having children anymore) is also possible.

there has to be like fifty better ways to explain why some sort of eternal life serum would be bad for the poor than “Mother Death is the great hero of the proletariat for she kills the bourgeois” as if death becomes more escapable the fewer lamborghinis you own

its not assimilationism to demand for your rights to be acknowledged. first and foremost assimilationism has to afford the assimilating group some special protection from discrimination that the groups that did not “sell out” are not afforded, which would be a good thing for some people on this website to note

monogamy isn’t the opposite of polyamory omg. monogamy is the state of being married to one person. the opposite of polyamory would be monoamory or something like that. not to be prescriptivist about it but the word choice is key especially wrt polyamory because going around accusing people of being monogamists and having monogamist privilege can easily get you confused with other, more unfortunate movements.
