“Things left behind while camping.” Acrylic on canvas. 30x40x2. While I was thinking about the title for this piece, a lot came to mind. Now I know when you are in the outdoors, you leave no footprint, but I started thinking more about misplaced items (socks left in a tent or a hat left at the bottom of a sleeping bag) but also misplaced thoughts and memories. Ideas you had while out in nature, things you wanted to remember and thought you’d write down when you got home but never got around to. A person you just knew would appreciate a special moment in time and you imagined them there or telling them about it. A postcard moment you viewed or even trash you picked up because some asshole DID NOT PICK UP THEIR TRASH.
