Actually I should probably clarify outside of the tags so more people see it.

So for any of my followers that are still around (and any new followers that spring up for whatever reason), I’m planning to come back to this blog some time in the future. There will be a total revamp of the blog and the muse as well as a plot of sorts. I’m not sure when this will be or if I’ll actually go through with it, but I figured I should post anyways to see if anyone is interested.

So! My family is stuck in a terrible situation right now, and I don’t really know what else to do, so I’m asking for donations.

In 2008, my stepfather got pulled over in an uninsured vehicle and was ticketed. Should’ve been no problem, but he’s an abusive gross junkie who spent all his money on drugs at the time! Therefore, since the car was in my mother’s name and they were married, the ticket fell to her. We were poor as hell then — we still are, but we’ve moved out of abject poverty for the most part — so the ticket went unpaid.

Fast-forward to now, seven years later. My mom and that abuser are separated. She has a really nice house for us — us being me and my three siblings, who are the stepfather’s biological children — and my stepfather doesn’t support us at all and, in fact, continues to take money from us often.

She just got hired at a new job that’ll help us be much more stable, money-wise. The problem is that her new job requires her to go do a background check herself, at the police station, by this Monday, February 2nd. If she does this, when they run her through, the warrant for her arrest due to that unpaid ticket (which has actually caused us trouble in the past) will show up and she’ll go to jail. This isn’t something that can happen to a single mother who supports three kids (and me, to an extent).

The ticket is almost $1500. My mom currently has about $500 to her name.

I work. But I only make just above minimum wage and I don’t work enough hours to cover this myself. I get paid on Saturday, but it’s going to be a very small paycheck. I’m only going to have enough to cover maybe $100-$150 of this ticket. I don’t know what else to do, and I know I can’t possibly hope I can raise $1000 from donations. But I have to try.

I can’t say I can give you anything, I’m not an artist and I don’t really have anything to offer. But we need help. The kids can’t go to their father’s house, they hate him and he doesn’t take care of them. I need to make this happen, if only for the kids. They’re 13, 11, and 7. Not young enough to flounder; if I left school this semester, I could take care of them. But that’s a last resort.

If I don’t make enough by Monday, and she does get arrested, I’ll post bail and probably have to pay 10% of it, but we’ll have to pay the full balance after the court date. I will keep everyone up to date and keep my transactions as transparent as possible.
