Living To Know Jesus Dying To Make Him Known

Wouldn't you hate to get a letter in the mail, telling you all the things you've done right but then be told "Oh by the way, you've missed something...more appropriately you've abandoned something...more like someone...your first love...Jesus." A few things I need to think about to not forget my first love: 1. REMEMBER WHO AND WHOSE YOU ARE - Christ died to set me free and he is my savior, lord, and friend. I just remember his saving grace and lordship. Your HIS! 2. DO ALL TO THE GLORY OF GOD. It can be very easy to do work or even succeed up and do it for my own glory and desires. I must Do it all with JESUS' name as the center. 3. ABANDON YOUR HEARTS DESIRES AND FOLLOW CHRIST'S DESIRES. The world wages war against me in so many ways. I just Abandon any love for the flesh, and only love the Spirit of God working in me.

If you are STUMBLING into sin, it's is because you are FUMBLING the Word of God. Show me your intentional sin and I'll show you where the Word of God isn't active in your life. Are you GRIPPING the word of God in your arms like a good running back does with all his might going into contact? KNOW THE WORD by HOLDING THE WORD, and allowing THE WORD TO HOLD ON TO YOU!

My favorite thing about the spring, is Disciple Now season. I am Excited about preaching this theme at IFBC Disciple Now this weekend in Lake Charles. This generation needs a message like this. #disciplenow2017

Love in the church should be //More than Knowledge// //Limitless// //Beyond Walls// //Strengthening// //Discerning// //Ever Present// //Sacrificing//

Individual Members of the church should be invested in the teaching, discipline, and worship that takes place in the church. Why? 1. Individual Members need to grow in Holiness. Without holiness "sin is like a little yeast that spreads through the whole batch of dough." Holiness matters, don't neglect it. Sin affects people around us, don't underestimate it. 2. Individual Members need Community: God wired us for relationships and community and it stunts our growth to remain isolated. Please draw near to the flock of believers. "Where 2 or 3 or gathered" is not a justification to remain isolated. Thoughts from reading today. 🙏🏼
