the thing is, for me as a diehard short Essek truther, is that I would be open to tall Essek interpretations more if I ever saw reasons for it aside from Tall Equals Sexy. Like I have read so much good meta for Essek being short and how it feeds into how he presents himself, there’s so much to chew on there, but I have never in my like five and a half years in this fandom seen that for tall Essek. And so I will live on the short Essek hill indefinitely, because the tall Essek hill appears unfortunately barren and uninteresting.

The average height Essek hill is flourishing, with cows like me enjoying the grass that's tall enough to actually chew on. Essek and Caleb seeing eye to eye when Caleb isn't hunching and Essek isn't floating has imo better flavor than any other attempt at "characterization" by height that goes against all the official material I've seen (the leggy official art, the merch statues, some lines separately stating that Essek doesn't float that high and other characters look up at him...)
