Surreal
Written by James Samporna
When I saw her again, I knew I miss her.
The moment our eyes met, I knew there are so much stories to tell.
I just can't read between the lines.
It's hard to understand the things when you, yourself cannot understand what you feel. Do you think it's easy to made her understand when all she thinks about you, as person, is a complete and total mistake?
They say that when you love someone, distance doesn't matter but when I arrived here, in the City of Golden Friendship, I was afraid.
I was afraid of the idea that I might lose her. Little did I know, I was too preoccupied, she was slowly fading away from me.
With the busy streets of Cagayan de Oro, under the lights that illuminates the city, I became so busy. As much as possible, I immersed myself with the activities I can managed to do.
Met new friends, enjoyed the university and city life but despite all of these, I still felt so lost.
The last piece of the puzzle was still missing. I found answers but it did not fit. Until I got the chance to talk to her again, there, at that very moment, I realized she was the answer I was searching for.
She was living miles away from me.
In the bountiful city of Goodluck, this girl lived. She's the light to my dark path, the constant to my always and the happy to my pill. Behind those eyes, are the things she wanted to say and when I tried to talk, her eyes speak so much for her.
The words that came out of her mouth felt like dagger. It stabbed me until I can't feel anything. She was bleeding with so much pain and anger. But it was so very evident in her eyes the love and the longing. That's another story to tell. This very moment is surreal. I promise to treasure you and make this real. I am sure of this. Let's make things happen.
