     ‘ i can see why he’s important to you. i have someone i need to protect as well. ’  he admits while leading hyakkimaru by the hand to take a seat at one of the vacant tables.  

     ‘ her name is nezuko. she’s my little sister. ’  once settled, he proceeds to fish out his own device. it’s nothing he’s familiar with, but he’s learned just enough to be able to unlock and scroll through its items.  ‘ i don’t know where she is just yet. so we have that in common. ’  a sad smile.  ‘ contacts? ah, i think this is a list with names! let me see. ’

     tanjiro inputs the name, and a frown is sure to make its presence when there is no results. he does the same with his sister’s name. no good. oh, he despises being the bearer of bad news.

     ‘ ah.. i’m- i’m sorry, but it seems like he’s not here. ’  neither is his sister, but that’s not important to the other.  ‘ maybe he’s back home? ’

" Dororo doesn't have a home. " And Hyakkimaru doesn't either as far as his understanding of the concept goes; at least he knows he hasn't been home in a long time. Because home is a place to stay with someone to take care of you and you take care of them. " We travel. I promised not to leave him behind. "

That's a promise broken; he realizes with a feel of something that makes him cold all the way to the tips of his fingers and toes. It isn't like the other times they gotten separated because Hyakkimaru can always find Dororo then, even if it takes a couple days. Worse yet is here they last parted, Daigo territory at the cusp of a war, a terrible place to be.

♥ “Are the demons here strong? I don’t have an answer for that either unfortunately. I haven’t met any. If they’re like the ones from my world though, I’ll need by sword back to kill them. They only die by beheading and even then it takes a special steel.” Her sword was specifically designed to flow like a ribbon, and so using a wooden blade just wasn’t the same at all. 

“Wait, are you a demon slayer too!?” His clothing didn’t resemble the Demon Killing Corps uniform at all, so she’d wondered if he’d come from a history where demons didn’t exist, but… “Wow! We’re the same! My name is Kanroji Mitsuri, what’s yours!?”

" We're the same? " He repeats, considers all that’s been said to him so far. He supposes they are, in a way. Not a lot of people are able to kill demons, he's learned from his own travels and she speaks as if it's something she does often. Though the beheading and special blade confuse him. Doesn't someone just need enough strength and skill and stay alive? Are demons really that varied to require something special?

“ Too many people, isn’t it ? ”   He had gently tugged on tattered hem if only to capture his attention—— where is he looking ?  Sabito doesn’t quite know,  just that he seemed a tad bit out of place in the middle of cluttering voices & plethora of could be humans.  He motions to guide him away, unsure if he would follow but offered a hand nonetheless.

Mutsuki responded, rolling his eyes towards the tree tops where the leaves were just starting to golden, but hadn’t completely turned yet.

❝  There’s a little gold and red there, still mostly green.  ❞

❝  Should be any day soon now, though.  ❞

“Actually, it’s only just started. Halloween is generally on one day at the end of the month, but everyone loves to celebrate it the entire time. They give out candy, play horror games, and wear costumes during that time!” He couldn’t help but to let a bit more excitement flow into his voice when talking about Halloween.

“It’s not supposed to– it’s supposed to be fun. Crunchy and salty, yeah?” 

There’s just something about some weird guy eating chips for the first time…it should be humbling but it’s just weird. But like a train wreck, he can’t look away.

“ I sleep where I want. ” He has pieced together that he might have somewhere to stay, but finding and staying were different matters entirely. “ I like forests. They’re comfortable. ”

muichiro felt as though his nose was going to melt, not knowing where the smell was exactly coming from while his nose searched for the source. not taking a moment to stand around the center of the mist, the demon slayer took a quick moment to climb the nearby tree branch with little to no effort. he notices another boy with a torn and frayed kimono, which looked as if it hadn’t been washed in weeks. there it was.  “i’m sorry. i guess you’re just stinky.” he states, perching on the branch. when was the last time this guy has bathed?

“it’s sort of a pain but people usually consider the quality, size and comfort when it comes to new shoes. if someone gave you sneakers, you probably weren’t used to them. you should buy your own shoes if it’s a problem.”

“what type of shoes do you wear? maybe you just aren’t wearing the right ones.”

“shoes are completely optional. but wouldn’t it feel uncomfortable without them as well?”

“ Is Halloween over? ” Because he’s heard about it for a while now. The word mentioned excitably in many conversations that Hyakkimaru has overheard. He doesn’t know a thing about whatever it is, except that it might be an event of some sort, a long running one at that.

The weather’s been changing lately, cooler days and longer nights. The transition of seasons is one that Hyakkimaru can tell easily. It must be fall, so he wonders. “ Are the leaves red yet? ”

“ Feels funny. ” Chips, the food was called and offered to him. Hyakkimaru had eaten one, not know what to expect, but this wasn’t it. Somewhat easy to chew, sure, but strangely crunchy and extremely loud. He doesn’t know how to feel about them. “ Like an eggshell, but doesn’t taste like one. ”
