i want to thank @into-control ‘s anons for pointing this out on the performance of Living Proof bc i could share my take on that specific part. so in the video below you could see Camila with a male partner dancing sensually and whatnot and the anons pointed out that there’s two women dancing sensually and intimately straight right at the back of Camila dead center of the stage. i think a lot are wondering why and here’s my take on it: the camera angle during these times at a certain level, Camila and that male dancer blocks those two women and at different times you could see glimpses of those two women dancing, well that is if you really notice them you couldn’t not see them. i think this is symbolic with what’s happening now with Camila. Camila and that male dancer represents her pr relationship. the camera always focuses on them, close up shots and wide shots, any kind of shots. you couldn’t miss seeing them even how much you would want to. but if you pay attention to what’s happening behind them after those slight glimpses, you could see two women dancing gracefully and in sync with each other and always stayed close to each other, never not touching until the end of the performance. this represents the real relationship Camila has with her true lover. compared to Camila and that male dancer, they aren’t in sync with each other. sometimes they made contact but lasted only seconds then Camila goes back into facing the camera and towards the other dancers. Camila ends the performance with her looking straight at the camera and not towards her male partner while those two women at the back faced each other with the one in black leaning back and the other one in white supporting her.

there’s no coincidences. every performance is planned and i love that Camila did that specifically. aside from the rainbow hue, this goes to show how an audience can be distracted by what the camera is focusing on esp if it’s between a man and a woman dancing sensually to each other even tho there’s something happening intimately beautiful behind all of that heteronormativity.
