Hi!! May I request a Angel Dust PLATONICALLY comforting a kind-hearted teen!reader who is somehow related to one of the other characters (Like charlie's little sister or Alastor's niece or something)?
Reader doesn't actually know anyone in the hotel that well, including angel, and hasn't really talked to any of them. like she has said "hi" or had small talk etc but really isn't close any of them
Reader is going through a lot, has no friends, and is struggling mentally, and frequently hides alone to cry when nobody is looking
And she always hides it because she feels guilty and like a burden and she doesn’t want to bother anyone. Plus she is very considerate of other people's feelings and knows that they have gone through much worse so she would feel awful worrying them with her own problems
But one day angel just catches her in crying and he just... comforts her? they barely know each other but he still helps her (crying in someone's arms would heal any of us sigh)
Hi anon!! <3 sorry this took so long
You stood awkwardly by Charlie, silently observing as your father squabbled with the Radio demon. This was certainly a stark contrast to how he was merely a few months ago.
Ever since you and Lucifer moved in with your dear older sister in her Rehabilitation Centre, things have been … complicated.
On one hand, the change of scenery was great. You haven’t been constantly gambling on the off chance of a pause in your father’s depression, wishing for the normality that came with it. You were happy that he was finally healing.
On the other hand, You’ve been surrounded by people, every hour, of every day, of every week, of the month you’ve spent so far here at the Hazbin Hotel. Anytime you didn’t spend cooped up in your room (which Charlie was very disapproving of) you were constantly forced to be around people.
That wasn’t necessarily a bad thing, but you were 16.
You were an angsty, sweaty, pimply, antisocial teenager. And it certainly didn’t help that you’ve rarely been outside your lonely, shell of a house: living alone with your brooding poltergeist of a father for 7 years.
You weren’t used to being around this many people. You were used to staring aimlessly at the wall or pacing back and forth through your echoey halls.
That said, you were still taught proper manners — your father had once been very proud of that.
“Hey kid, what’s your deal?” The tall, 4-armed spider demon probed, nursing a glass of wine in one hand and chugging back a shot of cheap booze in the other. Angel Dust, you think his name was.
It’d be rude to not respond.
“Nothing,” you mutter, shuffling your feet awkwardly.
“Not a talker, eh?” He hiccuped, plopping down onto a velvet sofa with an oomph and draping himself over it. Lanky, white legs crossed on the armrest and you heard a content sigh. “So what was it like growing up with Princess Positive?” He asks. Small talk, maybe.
“It was okay,” you answer, picking at the skin on your thumb. There were some good memories, but truth be told, there wasn’t a lot of growing up with Charlie. The two hundred-ish year age gap made hard to connect as well as you would have liked.
She wasn’t home with you for long, anyway.
Angel Dust chuckled heartily, swirling the wine in his glass. “Sheesh, tell me about it. Every family has one.”
You nod politely, sparing a glance in Charlie’s direction. She was smoothing something over with your father and the Radio Demon.
The spider demon was about to open his mouth again, when suddenly—
“Dad! That’s enough!” Your sister’s voice rung out, irritated. Your father’s snarky demeanour crumbled immediately and was replaced by a taken-aback hurt. His grip on his cane faltered, shoulders shagging.
“Alastor is trying to help!” Charlie’s tone was rigid, her posture tense like a cornered cat. “It’s more than you’ve done for the last seven years.” Sighing, she turned away from him, addressing the rest of the hotel crew. “I think thats enough team exercises for today.”
You don’t even know what they were arguing about, but your father looked like he was on the edge of tears. His eyes glassy and his lips parted slightly, a hand reaching out barely an inch.
Thats more genuine emotion than you’ve seen from him for nearly a decade.
Were you not worth his feelings? He spent enough time locked away in his workshop for that to be plausible.
Sighing, you shoved your hands your pockets. “I’m going to my room,” you mumble under your breath to no one in particular.
The walk up to your room felt like you were under water — legs heavy, waterlogged, thoughts bubbling under the water pressure. It didn’t stop when you reached your door, nor when you collapsed at the foot of your bed. It only got worse.
You really thought that it would get better, that all of your father’s awkwardness would just disappear when you moved into the hotel.
Stupid.
Why would—
“Hey.” You looked up to see Angel Dust leaning on your doorframe. “Hi,” you respond, hugging your knees to your chest.
“You alright?” He takes a step forward, taking a kneel a few feet away. You stay silent. “You know, i’m alway open to talk, if you want.”
Yes, the series is still on going. Some stuff’s been going on irl that’ve been taking up most of my time currently, but you should expect an update before monday.
I really wanted to get this done and posted before monday. School’s starting up again and if I miss my chance I’ll probably only get around to finishing it next weekend :(

Do you know the last of us show? there's a scene I know would benefit in your "A Wasted Second Chance" story but I'll tell in private so the reader's won't know. If you want? I'm ok if you won't😌
I’ve been meaning to watch it for a while now but I just haven’t gotten around to it yet. If you’d like to tell me over messages that’d be great 👍
Wouldn't it be funny if reader was killed the same way they died in the past a dagger in the heart and in front of him. Aaravos can't do anything as the reader's body hits his mirror and he sees the light in their eyes die😂

I recently read you wasted a second chance. So reader is the reincarnated of Aaravos younger sibling right? So did the dragons know the reader is aaravos reincarnation of his little sibling? How is chapter 3 going?
The dragons are unaware. And even if they weren’t, they haven’t met reader yet, so it wouldn’t matter all to much at the moment.
However, I do plan for Zubeia to get a bit of deja vu when she sees them for the first time, kind of like how Rex Igneous mentions Ezran looks like the orphan queen. I imagine it going something like:
Reader: hey so we brought your kid back
Zubeia: oh, thats so nice of you thanks
Zubeia’s thoughts: damn they look like that one child I helped murder back in the day 🤨
In regards to chapter 3, I’d say its gonna take another week or so, considering that I’ve only written about two lines
I reblogged her late last year and my 2024 has been very satisfying work-wise and (secure enough to not stress out) money-wise so far. Money Snake is wise and good.
Chapter two of AWSC is out! Sorry it took so long, some stuff’s been going on irl and I’ve been juggling hyperfixations like the little clown that I am 🤡
Its not proofread pls don’t yell at me 🥲
^me coming up with the plot^ (i have no clue what I’m doing bro someone help)

Ironically, the figure in the mirror imitated your own shocked expression.
But it was obvious they were no mere reflection.
Their dark blue lips parted surprise. Tentatively, they brought their bedazzled hands up to pull back the hood of their cloak. Almost as if they were approaching a skittish stray cat. Their towering form bending gently at the neck.
They weren’t human — if their pointy ears and almost antler-like, purple horns were anything to go by.
For a few seconds, you froze.
It was like time itself halted, leaving you with nothing but your racing thoughts and the frantic drumming of your heart. Eyes wide, your gaze never left the mirror. You couldn’t turn away. Even a blink proved to be impossible with your tense form. You didn’t know why, but the figure looked oh so familiar. Like you’ve known it for a lifetime and more. And yet, you’re certain you’ve never seen anyone resembling a ridiculously tall, glittery smurf.
A thud interrupted your train of thought.
A hand — a large, calloused, blue hand — pressed up against the glass of the mirror, a desperate look on the figure’s face to boot.
Nope!
You flung the covering back onto the mirror, ignoring the almost pained look the stranger shot you. Although now once again obscured, you could still feel their unusual eyes raking over your unnerved form.
What. The. Fuck.
Breathing heavily, you glanced around the office.
Just like before, glimmering jewels and preserved parts stocked the sturdy wooden shelves. Save for the blown out candles, everything was the same.
But that didn’t ease your nerves. Not in the slightest.
Sparing the room one last spooked glance, you turned on your heel and ran out into the halls. Unlike the dimly lit chamber, the grand corridors welcomed plenty of sunlight through grandiose window. After the past few minutes, it was comforting, to say the least.
After a few minutes of walking, (a dubious look from one of the crown guards had you reigning in your speed) you found yourself striding through the library doors.
“[Name]?”
You nearly screamed at the call.
“Whoa, calm down, you scaredy cat—“ Claudia stood up from the library loveseat she was splayed out on, laying a thick book upside down on the armrest. “You look like you’ve seen a ghost — Hey! You were meant to wait for me in Dad’s office!” Her recollection came with pinched eyebrows and a pointed stare from the librarian.
“Claudia,” you start, tapping your fingers to your thumb in anxiety. “Something happened.”
“What? Ugh, did Dad catch you? I swear if I have to listen to another lecture about ‘respecting the sanctity of the high mages office’ I’m going to—“
“No, oh gods no,’ you chuckle at the thought. So many hours that you would never get back. “I found something…” the nervousness returned. Like the maddening screech of nails on a chalkboard, it invaded every inch of your conscious — that fucking mirror.
And that is how you found yourself in that room again.
At least Claudia was here, her presence was a much appreciated comfort.
“So whats this about a glittery guy in the mirror?” Claudia’s inquisitive query drew you back from the raging sea of your thoughts.
“I’m telling you, he was there! Or maybe she — either way! There’s a person in the mirror!” Now that you think about it, you didn’t even see much of the sparkly horror in the looking glass, yet their strange eyes remained ingrained in your mind.
“I’m not seeing anyone, Oh! Maybe there’s a spell,” she raised her hands and wriggled her fingers with funny face. “Mirror, Mirror, on the wall, Who’s the fairest of them all?” Her reflection stared back at her, silly expression and all. “Oh my god, that’s so nice of you mirror guy!” You rolled your eyes at her bashful giggle
“Ha. ha. Very funny.” Your deadpan was strong enough to turn any normal person to stone. Claudia, of course, was no normal person.
“I know right? I’m hilarious,” she snorted., before her face lights up in a realisation. “Wait… today’s the first of April… Was this a prank all along??!”
The only thing you could do was sigh, shoulders slumped.
“Pfft, good one.” Suddenly, she grabbed ahold of your arm and led you back to the library. “Now come on, I have to show you something.”
Aaravos wasn’t dreaming.
It really was you. The change of your skin tone, and the deviation of your hair colour, even the lack of starry freckles — none of that meant anything. It was you, he was sure of it.
That wondrous look in your eyes, the way you stood, and the way you kept your hair, they all caused his breath to hitch and his hands to shake.
Every detail, both new and old, threatened to draw tears from his darkened eyes.
Your ears were round — so you were a human, and from the way you were dressed, he guessed that you were at least living comfortably, but standards change with the times. By the looks of it, you weren’t that old — probably still in your early teens.
Every curve of your face, every emotion that flickered in your eyes, it all brought him so much pain.
And now as he cradled himself on the floor with his hair a stranded mess, he sobbed pathetically. Fate truly was cruel.
His sibling, his nefarious goblin, he might even go as far as calling you his first child, ripped away from him and dangled just out of reach behind that blasted mirror.
And you were afraid of him.
Those eyes — bright pools of [e/c] wonder — that used to look to him with adoration and jubilance, now gazed at him with fear and unease.
His four-fingered hands clutched his pearly locks as he wept, bitter anguish reaping what was left of his soul.
The memory of the nova blade sinking into your heart like a knife in butter always haunted him, but he swore that your pained screams rung so much louder today.
