Let’s dissect this. Because this is a very poignant scene that I haven’t seen under discussion a lot, yet and I want to talk about it.

Music tells a story we didn’t know before. The big story is Blitzo is painfully aware of his and Stolas’ societal gap. He’s an imp. He’s a prince. He’s aware of it and has always been aware of it; using their “transactional” status has helped protect him from accepting genuine emotional attachment to Stolas.

Inferiority complex. Blitzo knows Stolas is too good for him. He’s out of his league. He has no idea how he’s managed to secure this prince for so long, but he has, so far. Secretly, he wants more. He wants a genuine romance with Stolas but is afraid to accept it because he isn’t good enough.

Then Stolas validated those negative feelings…

Look at him. He’s devastated. A small part of him believed or wanted to believe under the cruel reality of their world that Stolas didn’t see him as “less.” He wanted to believe that Stolas saw him as something more, probably an equal, probably not but something more and to have him raise his menu, therefore extracting himself from their relationship for societal appearances, Stolas unknowingly validated every negative thing Blitzo thinks about himself.

I don’t think Stolas meant to. He’s got his things going on. He’s afraid to lose his daughter. He’s afraid to lose his status and authority and power. I dare say he may fear losing Stella. Not because he’s in love with her but is comfortable with her. They’ve been together for a while now. You get comfortable. Interclass relationships come with sacrifices. 

“Stolas, don’t act like what we have is anything but you wanting me to fuck you. You make that really clear all the time.”

His voice broke, guys. This is the part where he’s trying to come to terms with their reality and he can’t. He doesn’t want to.

here's some observations i've noticed over a couple of years. don't stress if it doesn't fit / resonate though, as aspects and the house(s) involved can change it.

⟡ libra mars isn't as passive aggressive as people think. while this mars placement is in detriment, it doesn't mean it doesn't know how to express itself, go after what it wants, and it doesn't necessarily shy away from confrontation either. most libra mars i've known have been extremely confrontational, especially where friends or family are concerned.

⟡ most people who identify as LGBT+ have a venus/jupiter, venus/moon, or jupiter/mars aspect. it's something i've noticed in a lot of the charts i've studied.

⟡ 8th house placements aren't as mysterious as everyone thinks, they're just extremely good at reading the room (and you). they're extremely private people who know how to get what they want, but deep down they just want someone to love.

⟡ cancer, libra and pisces placements or any placements in their houses (4th, 7th, 12th) aren't nearly as soft or people-pleasing as people like to stereotype them as. they'll laugh and play along with it, but these are the kind of people who will enact revenge with a smile on their face and you'd never see it coming.

⟡ fire signs like to play the part of the clown because they know what it's like to be upset, angry, or depressed and have no one there for them. they don't want anyone else to experience it, so they're always trying to get people to laugh or smile. this can annoy people who just want to feel through their emotions, but remember that they do it out of love for you.

⟡ water mars can be quite deceiving, especially in the bedroom. it'll play and act like it's submissive, sweet and caring but the moment you let your guard down? they'll take control so quickly. they go from being the baby to "call me daddy / mommy".

⟡ earth and air placements have a hard time realizing that emotions exist and that emotions are a good thing. they're always expecting perfection from themselves all the time, rarely taking time out for themselves. check up on your earth or air placement friends, don't let them tire themselves out.

⟡ if you want to know what someone's love language is, you should check their ceres placement. ceres is how we nurture and love others, but it's also how we want to receive love. you can check their moon, venus and mars too.

⟡ air and fire placements like to do this thing where they pretend that the gift they gave to you wasn't a big deal. they'll play it off as "oh, i was just out for a walk and found this, it made me think of you". they're lying!! they put a lot of time, effort and energy into finding this gift for you but they don't want to admit it.
