Here's my part I did for the "The Transformers The Movie RETRAUMATIZED'!!

I reanimated my favorite scene from the movie! I used a palette partly inspired by the Marvel comics.

Let me explain to you all why Sunstreaker is the most pitiful between himself and Cyclonus:

He was kidnapped along with a human teenager - Hunter O'Nion - by shady humans working for Scorponok where none of those same humans received consequences for the unlawful modifications on a child and living being.

The modifications can't be removed and they have each others' memories. -Maximum Dinobots, Issue #5

He is thought to be a literal machine by those humans where he felt them cutting into him, consequently decapitated, and left as a head connecting him as a source for headmasters to connect to. The headmasters were all in his head, too.

The humans think of him as a literal machine as Sunstreaker screams on feeling every bit of what the humans do to him. -All Hail Megatron, Coda: Replay

His own brother, Sideswipe, didn't care enough in the right way to rescue him. Thus, he was abandoned by his family. (Not only that they have a strained relationship).

Sideswipe deciding his brother isn't worth it after spending some of his previous screentime demanding he be sent to Earth. -Transformers Spotlight: Sideswipe

In the aftermath, Sunstreaker developed PTSD causing him to betray the Autobots so the humans would suffer just as he had. (The deal was that the Decepticons could take over if they slaughtered a bunch of humans). Paired with the guilt of the Autobots' situation on Cybertron and his trauma, he later admitted to Ironhide he was suicidal when he prepared himself to buy the Autobots time from an Insecticon swarm.

This apparently has never occurred before and none of them know what kind of consequences there are to a Cybertronian and human mind merging. -All Hail Megatron, Coda: Replay

Time skip to Ironhide's resurrection after the Autobots return to Earth and Ironhide's death. Ironhide finds Sunstreaker in the chasm still alive and replaying his trauma at the hands of the humans all this time. Sunstreaker tells Ironhide he wants to redeem/better himself since he betrayed the Autobots. Ironhide has no idea what the former is talking about since it turns out he doesn't remember what happened to Sunstreaker or the Autobots.

Sunstreaker remembering everything that happened to him. -All Hail Megatron, Coda: Replay.

Ironhide doesn't remember anything from the last 4 million years. -Transformers: Ironhide, Any Old Iron

Sunstreaker wanting to atone for his actions, but it goes unappreciated. Transformers: -Ironhide, Any Old Iron

He was disabled and in a wheelchair.

Once Sunstreaker and Ironhide returned to Earth, the former expressed literal discomfort at being in the place of his Trauma's origins.

Sunstreaker tries to include himself in social circles, but there is an exclusion with a loser atmosphere to him. The others also remind him he's a traitor.

He's incredibly lonely even though he's surrounded by allies.

And in addition, in real life he's a lesser known character in comparison to Sideswipe with the most minor cameos and some not knowing who he is or that he's Sideswipe's brother.

This is man is a true waterlogged cat.
