Let’s say Della gets injured on her latest adventure. Her arm is broken or sprained and has to stay in a sling so it can heal. This means she can’t fly the Sunchaser, and Scrooge refuses to let her make her injury worse, so he puts Launchpad back in the pilot seat.

And Della’s fear of being replaced rears its head. She refuses to let Launchpad fly her precious plane unless she’s there with him. Of course she can’t take control of the plane with only one working arm, so she tries to make him fly her way, basically being a control freak and micro managing him. Launchpad tries to humor her, but of course he ends up crashing because that’s what he does.

They’re fine but the plane is too busted to get off the ground. Della and Launchpad argue and it finally comes out that they’re both afraid of getting replaced, and that’s when they finally reach a better understanding of each other. They fix the plane together and start working as a team. When they get back in the air Della is less controlling of Launchpad and lets him fly his way, only stepping in when it looks like they’re about to crash again. By the time they get home they make a perfect landing, much to the surprise of the family.

Ship war is intentionally misleading. It’s dismissing the root of the problem; the core issue of this fandom wank.

It isn’t about what ship is going to be canon. It isn’t about what ship is better.

It’s about showing the other side respect and common courtesy. I am not going to shit on Magica and Scrooge because I ship Goldie and Scrooge.

They deserve their space and enjoyment. It isn’t about me. It isn’t so personal that I need to try to ruin someone else’s fun.

It isn’t designated to Drakepad vs Delpad. It isn’t a them vs us thing. It is a fandom wide problem that seems to circle around Delpad because it happens to be a m/f ship. Just this instance.

It isn’t just Drakepad. If Delpad fans are participating in this, then that’s a gosh damn shame, and they should be ashamed of themselves.

“They did this to me. They did that to me,” was a justification.

Are you fucking nine years old? Get some damn sense, come on. I’m not saying anyone deserves death threats or harassment, but you are responsible for your actions.

It feels like a group of the fandom does not want to be held accountable for their actions. Just as the other side that claims to protect kids doesn’t want to be held responsible for their actions.
