And nowadays they usually mixed it up a bit, seating arrangements not limited to an upperclassmen vs. monsters cold war. Renee sat to Andrew's left with Neil on his other side followed by Allison and Dan. Aaron and Nicky trapped Matt between them. Then Kevin had held back so he could claim the seat across from Renee.

The table was covered in food from burgers and fries to sticky wings drowning in sauce. Everyone had ordered for themselves but somewhere along the way it had become a free for all. No one could stick to their decision as they were ordering, adding on multiple of someone else's choice.

They were loud. The Foxes were an explosion of the noise in the middle of this quaint diner, Nicky and Renee had slowly started shouting at each other across the table as the noise rose. Allison and Dan were whispering then cackling to each other over things Neil wish he never unheard about Matt and Seth.

Compared to the others Neil and Andrew ate in mostly silence. Too focused on their food to have exchanged meaningful words.

"I'm still not fully sold on being co-captain." Neil broke their silence, wing halfway to his mouth.

Andrew had almost rolled his eyes or groaned but once he had looked at Neil, his eyes had zeroed in on the sauce on his cheek. Without a thought or perhaps it had been completely on purpose (even after all his progress, it was hard to tell Andrew's motivations) he grabbed Neil's face and pulled it towards him.

Then he licked the sauce off.

Even Neil had been startled before he grinned, "Gross, what was that for?"

The table was had gone completely silent. All heads turned to look at the two with a mix of horror and shock. The pair had continued eating without sparing a glance to the team.

"That was disgusting!" Nicky had been the first to speak up, he looked appalled yet his lips were tugged into a smile.

"Was that PDA?" Someone else had asked but the rest of the foxes had finally found their voices and descended into an explosion of noise.
