Boyce: At this point I dont think they will.

Boyce: No, I want to help a friend, but I feel like I cant. Or that it'll just cause problems.

Boyce: So what do you do? Just not say anything or do you say something?

Darla: If you feel it in your spirit that you need to help someone, always say something.

Boyce: Have you ever wanted to help someone, but you're scared of upsetting them?

Darla waited for this day to come for nearly two weeks. A day of fabric shopping and attempting to patch up old denim with some new flair. She could barely wait, just after waking up around eight in the morning-- so she immediately rolled over in her bed to snatch her phone, texting Keira. It read exactly as follows: im so damn excited! are you ready? im so ready, oh gosh, ive been ready for forever!! <3

Of course, Darla had a feeling that Keira wouldn’t respond so early in the morning, but she felt the need to express her enthusiasm. She needed a girls day. By the time Darla had made breakfast for herself and showered, it was ten. She continually checked her phone, and changed into something comfortable but appropriate for the fashion district. When Keira finally got back to Darla, she was all ready to go. After letting her know that she’d meet her there, Darla made her way out to her truck, old bag in hand and jean jacket draped over her arm. 

The two met up around eleven thirty, and Darla was always the type to hug. After a long one, set with rocking back an forth and filled with “Oh my goodness, how are you!”s, the two made their way into the first of many fabric stores. They window shopped for the most part until they found exactly what they wanted, and after an hour and a half of this, the two decided on about three different kinds of patterns. They worked on their DIY project in the store, occasionally getting help from the employee that’d helped them find the fabric in the first place. It was a large store, and there were plenty of stations for people to work on what ever they wanted, really.
