Okay, so maybe he had been asleep. Face planted on the desk, drool seeping from his lips, the young man couldn't help but not listen to a word of the lesson-- it was so boring!

After listening to Souda stutter and babble, Forrest burst into a fit of giggles. He was so flustered. It was adorable. Wait shit no not adorable that’s not the right word or was it i dont even know. She smiled wide at him, trying to calm her giggles. 

Souda lifted up slightly, eyes watery and smile wide. He was too happy to notice the close proximity--  "Y-You don't?" Wow, he was sure she should hate him by now. After all, he had seen her with her clothes off and peeked at her panties. Then, of course, he went and made dumb comments about them-- completely unnecessary. "I'm pretty sure they'd a' been great even if they weren't matchin'!"

Forrest giggled at his whining. For some odd reason, she found it……. cute? that Souda was so embarrassed. It was like he’d never seen a girl in her underwear before. Oh, wait. Had he? Well, now she could understand his embarrassment. 

Souda was just going to stop. He was probably embarrassing her, making her hate him. Hadn't he tried to get a brand new start? All that had been happening was the same stuff from before. Ugh. 

Sayaka tilted her head. He looked just as confused as she felt. This boy must have expected a boy roommate. She hoped he didn’t mind too much though! It was quite a hassle to actually get your roommate changed here. She knew because one of her friends tried many times to get a different roommate. Maybe her night could still go as planned and they could have some sort of sleepover thing! They could play fun games like truth or dare or something like that to get to know each other! She thought this sounded like a great idea regardless if Souda was a boy. Surely he even had some really cute pajamas to wear to this sleepover! Who doesn’t have cute pajamas? Sayaka was sure that everyone did.

The embarrassment made him turn the color of his hair, light pink spreading to his ears. How could he have messed up so much?! It was his title, his namesake, the actually point  of his existence at Hope's Peak! She probably thought he was a damned idiot now, having no reason to be there. Damn, damn, damn-- 

Forrest was flattered that Souda stared at her. It wasn’t even that weird to her, after all the weird stuff that had happened between them over the course of the day. “It’s okay,” she giggled softly. “I think that it’s apparent that we’re going to have odd situations like this all the time, so let’s just get used to them!” 

Another floor-muffled whine fell from his lips at her comment. All the time? Well, it wasn't like he wasn't used to things like this being daily occurrences-- quite the opposite, actually-- it was just that he never liked to think about the fact that things like this were daily occurrences.

Forrest paused, staring at him with wide eyes. She had forgotten she said he could come right in, and decided to change into something longer than her short skirt last minute. So, he walked in on her practically naked and just about to pull a dress on over her head.

"Whoa..." Wait no, Souda, you can't just stare at people while they're half naked with goofy grins on your face. That's not polite. "I MEAN-- OH GOD-- I'M SORRY-- " He tried to close the door and finish putting on his shoe at the same time, so he ended up tripping and falling face-first in the room. "OW-- FUCK--"

"I prefer playing rougher music. Fits my character better." she shrugged. "Loud and obnoxious and rough." Not really. Forrest was much more timid than anything. Her anxiety made sure of that. She stretched a little, raising her arms above her head. "You really don’t wish you could play, Souda." she told him. "Trust me. It’s a lot of ‘you’re not good enough’ or ‘you’re too good for that level music.’" Not to mention the whole your hair has to be a normal color, body alteration is not allowed. Fuck that. 

"Uwah!" He stopped a moment in his search in favor of staring at her in awe again. "So ya play rock an' stuff like that too? Ya gotta let me listen sometime, ya know!" If he had a tail, you bet it'd be wagging in excitement. A pause then, and the sheepish laughter was back. "Heh, maybe you're right. I get enough a' that already. I wouldn' be that good at it, anyway." The tinge of sadness lasted in his tone for a brief second, before he turned back to her. 

She noticed he had been staring at her while she played, but it wasn’t abnormal. Post people did. No one expected classical music from undercut and purple hair, y’know. Giggling softly, she placed the violin and bow back on the floor. “I had two years of violin lessons,” she told him, twirling her hair around her fingers. Should she mention she rarely ever went? Nah. 

His eyes were basically sparkling with interest, smile on his face like a puppy that was just told it'd be getting a new bone.  "Rough? Rough is good. Rough is great!" Was it possible to play rock music on a violin? Well, he had never heard it, but he wouldn't doubt it, of course. "But that was really good too, ya know! Sounds better than tha stuff on CDs."

"No, no. I insist on paying you back." her voice was determined. "I will buy you a snack if it’s the last thing I do!" She found his smile to be contagious, and couldn’t help but smile as well. Even though she had no idea why, she found it very easy to be around Souda. Maybe because he was a goofball, and his happiness was comforting. Maybe it wasn’t.

She wanted to pay him back? It was a new concept to Souda, completely-- every time he offered to fix someone's cars, motorcycles, or anything for free, they took it up instantly. Hell, sometimes they'd even complain. But this-- it was unexpected. Unusual.
