Current lore: in Megadad variation (rather than Ultradad) he dumps the freshly minted protoform on Soundwave to take care of and fucks off to continue his search for the Allspark. Orion believes he is a cassette and that Soundwave is his imprinted mentor for his entire youngling life on New Kaon. Soundwave rejoins the Nemesis crew and Orion follows, meeting Megatron for the first time. Orion is both terrified and infatuated with Megatron, observing from a distance then running when heβs noticed.
Rumble and Frenzy are less babysitters and more chaotic role models trying to train the sweet-natured temperament out of Orion. The trio, inseparable and their pranks, innumerable.
I have a whole Drabble I want to write about this specific variation of Orion being a youngling living on the nemesis.
One idea isβ¦Orion is trying to hold his own against a soldier, maybe Scorponok or even Deadlock lol, during his martial training. Heβs struggling to figure out the technique theyβre working on. Tarn is visiting his lordship and clocks the younglingβs struggle (and parentage) and challenges him. Orion accepts because Megatron is standing Right There staring at him. Tarn wipes the floor with the youngling but keeps pushing too far when Orion panic-chirps and Megatron fucking bodies Tarn. No one speaks of the suddenβviolentβreaction and Orion is told to clean up and go back to the classroom to finish his studies for the day.
