It's a video of the Phantomorphs having finished a good meal and fireworks at Destinyland, with Ryuji, Futaba, Ann, and Ari all wearing animal ears. “Oh, hey, isn't it almost time? Y'know, for the press conference?” She asked, before Ryuji perked up and Ari seemed almost sick for some reason. However, no matter their opinions, Kunikazu Okumura's conference was still going to start. It started with him thanking people for taking the time out of their schedules to be there before elaborating on his company's issues.
Ari furrowed her brows as it went on as normal. She knew what she saw. However, the small part of her that hoped for the best, it gave her just enough hope. Maybe his shadow didn't die? Maybe it was just knocked out? Okumura went on to explain that he was solely responsible for covering it up. Then he began to explain something about a mysterious illness, and Ari's heart dropped. He was about to explain who was behind everything, but he had a heart attack, much to the shock of everyone else, and to the numbness of Ari.
As the rest of the Phantomorphs freaked out, Ari just looked around them and tried to help out Ren who seemed to be having a panic attack. She had to keep calm, for his sake. “Ren, do you think you could try and count down from ten?” She said, gently as she focused on the main issue. Ren nodded as he tried to do what she asked.
“T-ten, nine, eight, seven,” He began to say as things still felt so overwhelming. After all, what was he supposed to do when someone, someone that he was trying to help, died. Right in front of his eyes. Still, he followed Ari's instructions.
“Six, five, four,” As the other phantom thieves reacted to Okumura's death. Oh God, Haru just saw her dad die live on television-
“T-three, two, one.” He finished, as he looked around to his fellow phantom thieves. They all looked to be just as confused as he was. … Except for Ari. “Mona-chan, what's going on?!” Haru asked, though even Morgana thought it was impossible. However, at that point, Ari ended up speaking up. “It's… Not impossible. There's, one thing that could cause this.” She said, almost unheard as the other thieves talked about it. “I-i should call home.” Haru said, pulling out her phone while Ann talked about how things should have been the same.
“Wait, Ari, you said something about only one thing causing it? Do you know something we don't?” Morgana asked, and she nodded in response, though she took a deep breath to steady her nerves. “... I. Can sense when someone is going to die. Right before you guys left, I felt that sense, and… I saw someone. Someone else. Shoot his shadow, twice.” She explained what she saw only three weeks earlier. “And you just knew all this time?! Why the eff didn't you tell us?!” Ryuji said, some of his rage coming out. To her credit, Ari just gave a shaky sigh. “I… didn't know how to tell you guys. I'm new to this death sensing thing.” She said, and it was clear how tired she was. How stressed.
The rest of the thieves talked about it, including Futaba curling in on herself, and mumbling, “I remember now… This is just like what happened to M-mom…” Which made Ari give a gentle look at her, though she seemed almost nonresponsive otherwise. Haru then got off her phone. “I'm sorry, but I have to go. I'll talk to the staff before I leave. Feel free to take your time…” She said before heading out. “Haru!” Ann called out to her while she left.
Ryuji then looked at the rest of the thieves with concern. “This… ain't our fault, right?” He asked, before Ari gave him a stern look. “No. In no fucking way is this any of your guys’ faults. None of you could have figured out that the true head of this would have sent the person causing the mental shutdowns after the same guy we were targeting. If anything, it might have just accelerated their plans.” Ari said, though that still made Ann concerned. “Do you mean that this wouldn't have helped anyone?” She asked, though Ari shook her head. “I didn't say that. If anything… it means that they consider us a threat.” She said with that fanged smirk of hers.
Yusuke tilted his head, “And are you sure that this a good thing?” He asked, though Ari just shrugged. “I'm not sure, but… I think we might be one step closer to the big bad. And that's good, right?” She said in response, though Makoto just sighed. “Whatever the reason… I'll contact Haru later. But for now I think we should all go home.” She said, and Ari nodded in agreement. Eventually, they all left for their homes. The video ends there.
