Loved.

There are tears in Entrapta’s eyes, but she understands these: they’re emotional, but not negative–not entirely. She has been so overwhelmed for so long; she hasn’t had a spare moment feel anything other than a drive to help herself, help her FRIENDS. Save the world, she supposes, though she doesn’t feel like a “hero.”

The magic flowing through the air is scintillating and tangible: the finer hairs on her body are standing on end and her skin is covered with GOOSEBUMPS. She’s never really felt magic before, but she can feel its power now; maybe it’s because she open and VULNERABLE standing here next to her long-lost lab partner.

He speaks, and she can feel her eyes begin to sting from un-shed tears, but Entrapta is SMILING. 

“Apologize?” she asks as if it’s the silliest thing in the world Hordak could have said. “What do you need to apologize for?” Entrapta takes his hand and gives it a squeeze. She considers removing her gloves, but decides it can WAIT–she’s already close to her limit. She isn’t planning on letting him go any time soon, anyway.

his gaze falls from the magic around them to her, and suddenly the world disappears. there is no etheria, no princess alliance, no MAGIC; the only thing that matters to him is her. he aches to reach out, to touch her hair, her cheek, her gloves; something to assure himself that she is there. but he restrains himself. 

he would never touch her without permission. not then, not now, not ever.

“there are many things, i assure you.” by the horde, were her eyes always that color? how has he never noticed before now? “i have... i was not able to bring you home. i was not aware of catra’s betrayal until it was too late, and by that point, i assumed...” 

his throat tightens with the truth, burning with the tears he has long since held inside. but this moment is not about him. this is about her, and so he offers out his hand. he turns to face her, and only her. ears swivel, pinning back, even as his gaze softens.

Don’t talk to him. He’s upset.
