[Solar Storm] On September 10, 1:48 PM EST, the sun released—amongst others—a solar flare of the highest intensity category (in order of low to high: A, B, C, M, X), which will make solar radiation rain down from space. Solar flares are the most explosive events in the solar system, with the two solar flares and two coronal mass ejections (CME) being the largest solar storm in years—including 2012's solar storm that narrowly missed Earth, but would've costed two trillion dollars in damages were it to hit. The energy has already entered Earth's atmosphere and we should see the effects in the next couple of days. Every two minutes, the 15-second digital ad, consisting of two massive 45-foot by 45-foot screens, will show the free-fall descent of World Trade Center Building 7 to all pedestrians and drivers who pass by the intersection of 42nd Street and 8th Avenue. For the vast majority of viewers, this will be the first time they see the destruction of the third skyscraper.

The billboard's message will reach 100,000 people daily — for a total of 3 million viewings from September 8th to October 5th.

[Economic interest spying] Despite the NSA denying continually that it does not spy for economic interests, Snowden documents reveal otherwise.

In a new report by The Intercept, Glenn Greenwald released a secret 2009 memo that advocated "technology acquisition by any means", in this case, specifically to bolster the competitive advantage of American corporations. Detailed in the memo is a long-term plan that would take cyber espionage a step further, under the guise of a purely hypothetical situation, namely India and Russia teaming up for technological innovation. That plan is “a multi-pronged, systematic effort to gather open source and proprietary information through overt means, clandestine penetration (through physical and cyber means), and counterintelligence.”

They typed “miscellaneous” strings of characters into the login page’s entry fields and found that one of the IP addresses returned didn't match any of the Tor nodes.
