Liz shook her head. “I have a life here father. A fiancée… and child now. “ she sighed. “Take Aurora and Seth if you want but nothing will change my mind. I’m staying here..” She looked down at the ground, hesitating to speak for a moment. “To go back to a life where people tend to your every will, lay rose petals at your feet… or who will know me only for the person who killed their queen. No thanks. “

Triton’s face softened at her words. “You’re getting married? And you have a child?” He asked with a tone of awe. He missed so much of his daughter’s life in those past 20 years and he hated himself for it. He wished things were different. He sighed but nodded his head at her words. “I obviously can’t force you to come back. I can’t force Seth and Aurora either. If this is where you’re happy…..then stay. I just came to make things right.” He told her sincerely. 

Part of Liz wanted to embrace her father and hug him softly, the other part wanted to deck him in the face as hard as she could. She pulled back from him. “Why did you come here..” she then demanded.

Triton saw the conflict in his daughter’s eyes but didn’t comment on it. He didn’t wanna anger her even more. He sighed when she pulled back from him. “I want you to come home, Elizabeth. I want all of you to come home. I want us to be a family again….and I know I’m probably 20 years too late but I wanna try.” 

Liz couldn’t help but break out in tears when her father took her hands. Still much bigger than hers. “Then why didn’t you come sooner.” She sniffled. “I was just a child..” Her eyes faded back to their soft blue tears rolling down her cheeks. “It ruined me. It haunts me every day. To think you didn’t care.”

Triton’s heart broke seeing his daughter like this. So broken. He reached out and wiped away those tears falling from her eyes. “I am sorry. I was blinded by my own grief.” He tried to explain. “I know that’s no excuse. I should’ve stayed strong for you but I didn’t. I was a lousy father and I know that. I hope one day you’ll find it in your heart to forgive me.” He said sadly, not able to meet his daughter’s eyes.

“The whole kingdom accused me.” Liz said placing her hands on her father’s chest and shoving him back. “And instead of defending me YOU HAD ME BANISHED!” She yelled. “You and that god damn fucking Siren!” She pushed him again. “No hesitation from you at all. So don’t you come here and expect us to have a healthy relationship, acting like nothing happened. Because that’s NOT going to happen.”

Triton let Liz push him away. He didn’t fight her, not in the least. He let her unleash her anger on him. When she was done he grabbed her hands gently, locking eyes with her making sure she understood. “I never banished you. The kingdom wanted me to banish you, but I was against it.” He told her honestly. “I didn’t banish you. I wanted to talk to you about all of this…..but you were already gone.” He said sadly.

Liz eyes turned black when her father came closer to her. She still had dark magic in her blood and her temper was just as bad. “No. I don’t want to hear anything! You banished me! Blamed me for killing my mother! So why would I want to hear what you have to say?”

Triton wasn’t scared of his daughter, even as her eyes turned pitch black. “Banish you? I didn’t banish you.” He said, a confused frown marring his face. He could never banish his own daughter, no matter how bad he situation might be.

“I have nothing to say to you!” Liz turned around facing her father hands firmly at Her side. “Absolutely Nothing!” She said wanting to leave but found that her feet were firmly planted in the ground.

“For having nothing to say…….you just said a lot” Triton said in a soft tone. He knew that giving her orders or getting harsh with her wasn’t going to do any good so he stayed as calm as he possibly could. He walked up to her and stood in front of her, facing her. “If you have nothing to say….will you let me speak?” 

“Fuck…” Liz widened her eyes as she saw her father stand on the beach. They haven’t seen each other since she was accused of killing her mother. She ran away. Her worst fears becoming reality. “No.. no no. Liz you’re dreaming you’ll wake up in bed… and this will all be..” she trailed off and instead quickly began to walk away.

Triton heard the simple word leaving his daughter’s lips. He saw her standing there at the beach, not having seen her in a very long time. “Elizabeth.” He called out, not wanted her to leave. “Stay.” It wasn’t an order, it was said in a soft voice, still giving her the chance to leave if she chose to do so.

“Listen, ma. I’d love to hug you and talk things out right now, but I’m about to cut off this Siren’s head the woman responsible for ruining my life. And I don’t want you to see this.” Liz said simply the blade she held against Mag’s neck beginning to cut into her flesh causing Mag to gasp out.

Liz had a dagger to Mag’s throat panting softly as she continued to look at her mother, it was the first time she had seen her since the day she died. Now here stood her and her mother and the one responsible for her mother’s death. Mag struggled in Liz’s arms and swallowed against the sharp blade.  “H-How’s it going..” Liz said weakly.

Gen wanted to hug her little girl so badly, she missed her Starfish and had heard of the struggles that Liz had been through “Oh well…Y-know….Things could indeed have been better” Gen stammered, a tear rolling down her cheek.

“And who will she blame when she finds out who she really is. That she’s my child. I’m her mother.” She hissed before suddenly Liz appeared behind Mag and wrapped an arm around her throat. One quick move and Mag’s neck would snap. “Careful what you say it could be your last..” Liz said then looking up to her mother, with sad sad eyes. “Hey mom..”

“NO! I am her mother, you were an ejaculation…” Gen snapped at her, her eyes blazing purple as she glared at Mag. When Liz appeared gen widened her eyes, seeing the strength in her daughter “Oh Starfish…” she whispered.

Mag’s eyes shimmered, despite the damage caused to them. Her hands raised and her magic forced Gen back against the wall and away from her. “So when will you tell Aurora the truth?” She wondered.

Liz groaned out and rubbed her face. “Here I’ll go up there with you okay? And I’ll scope everything out okay? If it’ll get you off my chain.”

“Well until they do something drastic it’s not stalking. If your mother thinks it’s a problem then she needs to talk to me.” She said sighing and tossing her pad of paper on the desk.

“But how do you know that’s stalking? Do you even know what stalking is?” She grumbled leaning back in her chair. “Are they sending her threats? Taking pictures of her? “

“What?!” Liz barked and slammed her notebook on her desk. “Then what the fuck are you wasting my time for. You either know they’re stalking her or not…” she rolled her eyes.

Liz gritted her teeth more and cleared her throat trying her best not to make a outbreak. It was hard to work with Alex now out of job. The two were always together and now Alex was gone. “I know where that is… look I’ll go up there and get a statement from your mother okay?” She sighed. In the pit of her stomach she was worried. Her brother wouldn’t lie about things like this.
