CAPRICIOUSLY CHOSEN LARGE NUMBER OF FOLLOWERS GIVEAWAY!!!!!!!!
This week I hit an arbitrarily significant number of followers, thanks in large part to the Agent Carter premier, it would seem. Yay!! So as a tiny, worthless token of my appreciation to you guys, I went scrounging through the dollar bins at my LCS this weekend and dug up some things I felt were worthy of a giveaway. So what do you get?
FIRST PRIZE is a Heroes Return (AKA my all-time favorite era of comics) starter pack! Quicksilver #1 (Vol 1), Thor #1 (Vol 2), Fantastic Four #1 (Vol 3), Captain America #1 (Vol 3), and Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty #1. All these issues are from the same big relaunch at Marvel, and so are the starts of all these series happening at the same time/after the same big event.
SECOND PRIZE is an Iron Man Vol 3 starter pack! From the same Heroes Return era as the first prize books, Iron Man Vol 3 Issues 1, 2, and 3. As well as issue 24 from the same run, AKA my all-time favorite issue of anything ever, AKA the issue where drunk!Carol drop-kicks Tony through a plane. This volume of Iron Man is my favorite volume ever, including such awesomeness as Rumiko Fujikawa, alcoholic Carol Danvers, and Busiek’s perfect amazing writing.
THIRD PRIZE is a Civil War sadness pack of sadness because hey, sometimes you need a little angst in your life, right? Includes The Confession (AKA the infamous “It wasn’t worth it" eeeeeeeeeee <3 <3 <3); Fallen son: Death of Cap, AKA the issue where Tony breaks down at Cap’s funeral; Cap #25 (Vol 5), AKA Cap’s death; and then to fix some of the sadness, Avengers Prime 1 and 2, AKA the infamous “Tony gets naked and Steve has to save him from some troll dude goblins or whatever." UNFORTUNATELY I couldn’t find issue 3 in the dollar bins today, which is where the ACTUAL nakedness happens, but at least this’ll get you started on the story! :}
FOURTH PRIZE is issue #1 of Avengers Vol 5, AKA Hickmanvengers, AKA the current run of Avengers, AKA one of my OTHER favorite things ever <3; as well as the New Avengers Annual, AKA Luke Cage and Jessica Jones’ wedding issue (it’s REALLY cute you guys :}}).
FIFTH PRIZE is the hardcover TPB Avengers: Vol 4, AKA Bendis’ run on Avengers (just before this current run). It collects the first six issues or so of that run, so it’s a great starting point!
