How would you advice someone learning anatomy?
Use photo references to study! You can trace over the photo or do the eyeball trick to get an understanding of basic proportions. You can also study proportion with this diagram (gave them swimsuits so tumblr won't flag my account)
But I know these are all very technical and don't sound fun, you can also try learning how to draw anatomy by drawing fanart of series with good anatomy depictions (like chainsaw man or naruto, that's how I did it when I started drawing)!
Hi C! I've seen people ask which brushes you use for lineart, but I'm really curious on the ones you use for coloring. Specially after that time you shared some doodles where you were testing brushes, but I couldn't tell which ones were they. Have a nice day c:
Oh! Do you mean this art 😂? I used the design pencil brush on CSP (it's one of the default pencil brushes there!) But I don't use this brush often because it's quite hard to control
As for this one I used various thick paint brushes, but the main brush I used is the gouache brush.
In photoshop I usually use the default photoshop brush with both of these things on,
and in CSP I mostly use the gouache brush for coloring because it has nice blending and texture!
hello! i love your art so much ^-^ both painting and your lineworks are so clean and good to the eyes. i'm inspired by you to learn how to lineart lately! do you have any advice on how to create clean, and good lineart? ^-^/ i hope you have a great day!!!
The first thing to remember when you want to draw clean lineart is to avoid the chicken scratch lines, I found this video on twitter the other day on how to achieve the confident and clean line strokes (source: x)
In the first example, you can see that the person is only focusing on a small area as they stroke the pencil to create a shape, this result in the chicken scratch lines, it doesn't look clean and you'll have a hard time figuring out the shape of the object you're drawing. However in the second example, you can see how the person tries to look at the bigger picture first before determining where the line strokes will start and end, this results in a cleaner lineart.
Another way to get the clean lineart result is by maximizing the pen stabilizer,
You can also use smaller brush to achieve the clean lineart look, the thicker the brush is, the more noticeable every "flaws" in the lineart so it'll be a bit harder to make the lineart look clean unless you set the stabilizer to 100, but if you use smaller brush, even if your line is sketchy, it'll still look neat when zoomed out!
Thank you so much for your kind words Anon and I'm really so SO sorry for the late reply 😭 I hope this helps!!
composition advice🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 ppl say golden ratio this rule of threes that but i either dont understand it or just really never see it in most pieces i fawn over 😭 it makes starting and making a piece so intimidating tho 💀💀 your pieces always come out like a fresh home baked pie so pleeeease do spill if u know anything on this topic ahh
ASDKFHSDJKHFD Not gonna lie I personally think technical stuff like that will hinder you from exploring more possibilities of your art because you'll obsess too much about whether your art creates the golden ratio or not, and in the end people won't even notice it 😭
I remember I tried to incorporate the golden ratio into my art back then and it resulted in the most boring piece I've ever drawn, perhaps I just didn't know how the golden ratio works but I honestly think dwelling with technical stuff like that isn't really worth the effort.
My rule of thumb when compositing my art is just separating the area of focus into dark area and light area
Like, maybe I unconsciously follow the golden ratio or the rule of thirds in the composition, but the only thing I keep in mind when creating some composition is just "if the light area is the main focus, then everything in the dark area must be less detailed, if the dark area is the main focus, then everything in the light area must be less detailed", and there should only be one dark area and one light area in one artwork.
And if the art isn't scenic (is that the right word 😂 ?), I think I like making things composed slightly diagonally to make it look a bit dynamic!
There are many aspects that should be kept in mind when composing and I think the easiest way to do it is by separating the art into two different areas because it works all the time! But that doesn't mean it's the only way to compose your artwork, certain composition factors (including angle, size, shape, etc) can give different impressions and it's A LOT of things to unpack 🥲
I hope it helps Anon and thank you very much 😊!

Like how bout you mind your business okay
I can only hope that you hit a tree instead of a person.
as long as you’re on the road with me, putting my life in danger, it sure as hell IS my business. don’t look at your fucking phone while your car is moving. you’re going to kill someone.
I did a report on actual studies of this for college. It is part of a category of behaviors referred to as “distracted driving,” a category which includes driving while under the influence of alcohol or other drugs.
The reason drunk driving is bad is you have inhibited judgment and a depressed nerve response. If you are drunk driving, and there’s something you need to avoid or react to, you are more likely to make bad reactive decisions, and make them much slower than a sober person would. (I do not recall offhand the name for the type of distraction this represents neurologically.)
Looking at your phone is something called a COGNITIVE distraction, which means your focus, in that moment, is entirely on a separate task, because contrary to popular belief, “multitasking” is not a thing that actually exists neurologically. It is possible to switch between multiple tasks in such a way that you make progress towards both at nearly the same time, but within the same INSTANT, your brain CANNOT, by design, perform two cognitive tasks at the same time without greatly impairing your performance at both of them. Even talking on the phone while driving, keeping your eyes fully on the road at all times, is a cognitive distraction that makes it much harder for you to pay attention to your driving and to the people around you, and even people who claimed to be proficient multitaskers, when tested, proved to be highly prone to accidents while talking on the phone AND far less effective at responding to the conversations they were having, because it is not possible for the human brain to do both things at the same time. Talking on the phone while driving was found to be approximately as bad as drunk driving.
But it gets worse.
If you are traveling at highway speeds, and you look down at your phone for just six seconds, you will have traveled roughly the distance of an American football field while your eyes were completely away from the road.
This, obviously, is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.
A person under the influence of alcohol will have a DELAYED reaction. A person whose eyes are not on the road because they are texting will have NO reaction. In the event of an accident, this means full speed collision head on with no actions taken to mitigate the damage.
What every study ever done on the subject showed, unambiguously and by a CLEAR margin, was that TEXTING WHILE DRIVING IS SIGNIFICANTLY MORE DANGEROUS TO YOURSELF AND OTHER MOTORISTS THAN DRUNK DRIVING. You are both more likely to be INVOLVED in an accident and less likely to REACT to it in time to save your life and the lives of other people on the road.
Drunk driving is punished HEAVILY by law, and rightly so, because it is a reckless endangerment of public safety.
If you text while driving or check facebook while driving or do anything else on your phone instead of keeping your eyes on the road, YOU ARE MORE DANGEROUS TO YOURSELF AND OTHER DRIVERS THAN A PERSON WHO IS SEVERELY DRUNK, YOU ARE A THREAT TO PUBLIC SAFETY AND YOU SHOULD BE STOPPED. Other people on the road have every right to hate you for it and to hope someday the law catches up on this issue.
If you’re driving on the same road as me, YOU TEXTING IS MY FUCKING BUSINESS, because you are putting MY LIFE in danger.
If you want to text while in transit, you shouldn’t be in the driver’s seat.
Friendly reminder:
DON’T BE DOING ANYTHING ELSE BESIDES DRIVING WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING.
NO “IF” OR “BUT” ABOUT IT.
