Alan Vega, a former member of Suicide at the time, performing live with visual artist Anne Deon at Disque Rouge, Brussels, on Jan 27th, 1981, while touring to promote his first solo album, as documented by Philippe Carly.

Alan Vega was her mentor and lover and his self-titled solo album, as well as its hit single ‘Jukebox Babe’, was dedicated to her. Attempting to distance himself from the music made by his pioneering synth-punk duo Suicide, he came up with an eccentric rockabilly album (definitely worth checking out this video of Alan Vega performing ‘Jukebox Baby’ live in front of an audience unsure of what to make of it, with him flipping the bird and spitting at the crowd at the end).
