I firmly believe that Shidou came from a dysfunctional household(parents either die or don’t wtvr), and was placed in foster care by authorities.

Trauma due to abandonment issues and inability to properly process grief resulted in a highly irritable and unstable kid! Oh and who needs parental love if you have never experienced it!

It’s a terrible truth that many foster parents(not all obvi) do not care about the children but about the money they make off of them and restrict kids lives to minimize expenses(food,activities, bare minimum..) i would imagine whoever took him in to be the same, just using the kids for their own gains.

(There are some amazing kindred souls though,i want to thank them for everything they’ve done literally angels. I have so much admiration)

Soccer was an outlet for emotions and had him play with other kids so naturally he gravitated towards the sport. Idk what else to put in man he just liked the sport. But people played dirty dirty with no care with others whatsoever. It ruined the game completely!!

The oldest of the foster care group was the only one who was mature enough to follow the rules.She(or he) and Shidou somehow clicked together perfectly and got along extremely well ( now i am reminiscing about denji and power 🥲..) soccer became their outlet of frustration and a way to bond.

Unfortunately, that sibling went through heavy abuse by one of their guardians, a lot of people say shidou went through abuse too and i could hop along with that. (Physical/Sexual abuse wtvr but it was bad bad) Shidou tried to report it and begged to get help but authorities didn’t do anything, and told him that punishing the foster home would ruin the image of foster care and displace many of the habitants including himself.

So no happy ending, the abuser gets away, his older friend is now traumatized for life and Shidou has completely given up on the ideas of being fair and thinking about others because no one thought about him or his older ‘sibling’ when they needed it and if the justice system isnt fair then where is it even supposed go be?? What were rules if they weren’t even protecting anybody?

And omg altruism vs egoism yet again! Shidou’s lviing condition would have him unable to be a part of a team and when he was finally free blue lock would have been the one system that guaranteed you a way to make japanese soccer your own.

(Notice the altruism and egoism sneak in here, plus there are some things like his weird biological interpretation/kink of soccer i really don’t know how to incorporate or what purpose it has lol it’s kinda in there for the edgy factor tho)

Imagine Ur Kunigami and ur friend gets chosen over you and you literally fight tooth and nail to redo yourself so you can’t be taken out of the game again and then ur same exact friend who got picked instead of you is going for the same exact thing you wanted.

Now ur both back at it competing for the same spot, and you can’t be the one to leave this time but thats your friend you’re doing that too. Theres no victory scenario unlike second selection so one of them would fail and have to go. You’re playing to kick your friend off and prove your worth.

Shidou’d just go off on random rants how much the conformity is just a attempt at retaliating against change in the most mediocre and fruitless way possible and then to buying banana flavored condoms and trying to get Loki or Rin to lick them is crucial to PXG.

And Zantetsu’s just nodding his head like “wow he sure knows a lot..” the degree of his understanding of whats going on is up to interpretation but he genuinely thinks Shidou is actually on to something.

Zantetsu also messes up the idioms and metaphors and whatever frequently but Shidou doesn’t correct him and just says that it makes sense when you think about it from a different way. That its totally up for interpretation what it means.

How do I explain this, I just feel like they both just would be unlikely friends and get along well together because they’re kind of both in the forgotten but not forgotten category in blue lock (is it because they’re my favorites???…hmmm definitely not that…)

Would Shidou rub off on Zantetsu? Probably, and Reo is not happy with it at all. Zantetsu did rub off on Shidou and he has slowly started to lose his sense of actual figurative language. Probably create some of the worst dialect known to mankind with Charles, that’s what the emojis stand for. Its like brainrot but no other team understands the joke so its just rot.

Because It would be so funny to just see Nagi out of pure fear for his life just quietly take the small bed.

No more throwing laundry, just keeping everything on the bed. Sure everybody Nagi roomed with was annoyed with his terrible manners, and Barou actually tried to do something about it, but Nagi never really cared.

Only Nagi’s caring like crazy now and lets the two others do whatever they want.

He’s thinking about Barou/Isagi/Chigiri/Reo/Zantetsu and what amazing roommates they were and how dumb he was for taking them for granted while all hell breaks loose as Shidou and Rin fight over the top bunk(both of them didn’t even want it that badly, just wanted to go at each other).
