The Decade Of Joy AU Askblog

In this AU, instead of killing off all of the scientist and carrying them to the lower levels of the building, The Prototype instead decides to give them a taste of their own medicine and switches the roles of Toys and Scientist. Now, Scientist are experimented on and are forced to do whatever the Toys say while Toys now work in different parts of the building with their main goal being to have all the orphans be adopted.(by the way, in this AU all the toys are adults though have moments of bein incredibly immature or childish due to not being able to properly develop.)

As more and more people come to adopt a child, the Toys are thrown more and more questions. “where are the adults?” “Is that a costume?” “What is that?”

There are Four Leaders in this AU who follow the Prototype’s orders. All four of them having their own Second-In-Command.

She was hiding behind a pile of large boxes when she was found 

Hunnie produces a sweet liquid similar to honey that produces a soothing effect upon the person smelling it, this liquid is a detriment sometimes due to it causing her wounds to heal slower and can accidentally cause her infections if too much accumulates on the wound 

Hunnie lost her arm to percival…who bit it off thinking she was a tasty treat…and according to him “she tasted very sweet “

After the incident with percival it was thought that she had died because after she wasnt seen for 5 weeks but turns out she had hidden in the ceiling vents, she was only found after she fell though a vent cover and almost fell onto doey

Shes very skittish and jumps at every little sound but she makes a surprisingly good nurse as shes very careful and doting

Personality: crazy,conspiracy theorist,nice but a bit unsettling,paranoid, seems to become less crazy during more serious and stressful times and during surgeries

Experiment abilities: Strong Grip,sharp claws, ability to sense the sick, good with medicine 

Experiment weaknesses: paranoid,weak,malnourished, untrusting to most except for a handful

Age: 29 (currently 39)

Wendall was one of the scientists that was apart of playtime co before the hour of joy

During the hour of joy he was taken and a bottle of his medication that he kept on him was lost 

Dr flask is very paranoid and doesnt tryst alot of people completely if at all (with a few exceptions) and will refuse food if he didnt see it get made and has a entire conspiracy board about the prototype and seems to think “THE PROTOTYPE IS GONNA OUT MIND CONTROL CHIPS IN OUR HEADS” 

Dr flask seems to only FULLY trust motherboard and her children (though will still sometimes refuse food if he hadn’t seen it get made) and appears to have a crush on motherboard because of her kindness

It appears that during surgeries and more serious times dr flask seems less crazy, he seems very good at what he does as it seems he knows if somebody is sick even if the person doesnt know it yet

When angry he seems calm and quiet and almost eerie and when he is annoyed he may puff up his chest and ruffle his feathers, when experiencing emotions like joy or embarrassment or flustered he will click his mask quietly (he does this around people he likes like motherboard)

He keeps his gloves on for the most part due to a hatred for germs and because his claws are very sharp (if he deems it necessary he will take them off and attack usually going for the eyes or neck of the person)

There was a incident in which dr flask flew up to one of the higher levels windows and accidentally broke it nearly escaping, he is now not allowed to fly and if on the upper levels his wings must be bound and he MUST BE ACCOMPANIED do not let human children around him he will not be kind to them 

he makes a bunch if diffrent bird noises though mostly ones for crows and ravens

He seems to keep alot of herbs and flowers on him especially poppies and lavender of which poppies are seen sticking out of his mask and tail (he stores alot of his stuff in his tail feathers)

-Monster dr flask

Dr flasks monster form is constantly dropping bloodied poppies and seems to have a sense for the injured and the bloodied as his sense of smell for blood has increased by alot

Upon finding a person who is injured he will tackle them and begin to patch them up and almost cover them in poppies (a fate of which might be kinder than what he does to the healthy)

Upon finding somebody healthy he will begin to attack and badly injure them only to patch them up and cover them in poppies similarly to the normal injured

The only ones he doesnt seem to attack are young children,the daughterboards,and motherboard

He seems more…eerie like this…snapping his mask to make a clicking noise and talking more…calm…and quiet …like as if he was angry in normal form

The watchlings

The watchlings are mechanical windup birds

they are often seen with dr flask and are completely harmless and are often also seen near motherboard

they often make all different bird noises and can come in many different colors

Once the elevator finally stopped, Azure made quick work in stepping off of it, making sure she had A.I.’s TV on her back. She looked around, taking a good quick note of her surroundings before taking out her notebook to write in it. She needed a plan…something to MAKE Maria wanna come back up to the higher floors… or- no. Maybe she could go down as quickly as possible to block off any paths that Maria may have?? She’s still rather…shaken…about that cat she killed. She didn’t even MEAN to kill him! She just wanted him to leave her and A.I. alone! But…that talk she had with A.I. WAS rather reassuring.

The room wasn’t…really a room. Just a giant room dirtied up with some dough, plasticine….Clay? Yes, there was tons of that stuff, but there were also a lot of bricks around the place and mini critters who seemed to be trying to make quick work of getting rid of all the junk laying around. The toys noticed the two, but payed them no mind thankfully. Finally, once Azure got a good look of her surroundings and collected any information she needed on her environment, she grabbed a pencil and moved her arm back to lightly tap on A.I.’s TV.

Azure: “Okay..A.I., I need a good plan. A plan to get to Maria as quickly as possible. You’re good with plans, right?”

What was she even asking? Of course he was good with plans! He’s supposed to be an artificial intelligence. One who she…ASSUMES…can feel pain considering he’s displayed basic emotions before. They have “intelligence” in the name!! So he should have no issue with coming up with a good plan. …right?

A.I.: “Hmmmmm well the last plan I had was locking her in a room and waiting for someone to fetch her… but that didn’t work cause of hix… so my idea..if you’re so sure she didn’t abandon on you, she’d probably come back if you begged her… sure you’d need to find her in the first place but that’s all I got at the moment”

She gave him a blank stare. That…was a plan on how to get her back…yes…but it wasn’t a plan on how to get TO her. She sighed but wrote down the idea regardless. One plan is better than nothing! She’d go back up to Playcare to try and see if she could get help but she’s 90% sure that Orion would go on about some “fate” and “destiny” stuff. She doesn’t dislike Orion! Orion is great! Caring, thoughtful and she really did have a way with words! It’s just that she’s a bit…too… how can she put this? “Old school”? That’s a decent word to describe her she supposes.

Azure frowned, walking through the room as she made sure not to step on any little critters when she felt a strange…pressure under her foot combined with a scream. She suddenly leaped back and looked down to see what she had stepped on only to see a…hairless…mini huggy wuggy… ..oh. Azure’s face went from shocked and surprised to disturbed and guilty in a second. Aren’t these things supposed to have fur-? It was covered in stitches too…

Azure: “Sorry! Sorry- are you okay..??”

She quickly apologized, leaning down to check up on the small toy. She couldn’t help but notice that the poppies around his neck happened to look like a clown’s ruffle collar. He was…kinda cute if you ignore the fact that it’s hairless.

Baggie: “Owwwww…”

Azure: “Gonna take that as a no…” … “Hey…wait- you mini toys run around all over this place! But er- before I start questioning you after my…VERY rude action..again, I’m VERY sorry for stepping on you..I did NOT see you. My name’s Azure! This is my…”

Azure paused, turning to A.I. she…didn’t exactly know HOW to describe him. Calling him her TV seems…pretty damn disrespectful and he’s definitely older than her if he keeps calling her “kid”. Hmm…acquaintance feels mean.. friend? Hm- no.. uh-

Azure: “…This is A.I.! I’m traveling with him. And..you are??”

Baggie: “Technically I’m just another mini huggy… but most call me ‘Baggie’ since I’m pretty much the universe’s punching bag…”

A.I.: “Oh! HI BAGGIE! :D”

Baggie: “…Hello, A.I. …”

Azure: “Waitwaitwait!! You know each other? And…punching bag-? That’s not very nice..Wait- no- I’m…getting off track here. Hi, Baggie! I was just wondering if you happened to see a…green hoodie wearing girl pass by here.?”

Baggie: “Nope. Too busy nearly suffocating under debri and being reminded of Hixel’s annoying “Bananaknife” prank” he pulled a while back. To be honest im glad the f**ker’s dead … Now if you’ll excuse me I’m gonna try not to get flattened again…”

Azure watched silently as the mini huggy walked away, clearly irritated. She let out a hum before squinting and putting her hands on her hips. She couldn’t help but pity the small toy. It sounds like he gets beat up everyday or something and she knows THATS not a good feeling at all.

Azure: “Well..he seems like the unlucky type. I hope his day gets better though! Cmon, A.I.!”

A.I.: “Lead the way kid :D”

Baggie walked silently around the large facility. There were some blocked pathways but..thats no issue for a tiny toy like him. squeezing through a hole, he managed to make his way deeper into the facility though..got stuck and had to forcefully pull himself out, resulting in him getting a nasty scar across his arm which revealed some of the hidden stuffing. Ughhhh…again? This day couldn’t get any worse.. He sighed, turning to continue his walk, when a large…beetle-like toy suddenly stomped in front of him, glaring down at him with a look he couldn’t describe. Baggie froze before slowly looking up. He was going to say something before he was suddenly kicked across the room, harshly slamming against the wall as the robotic beetle continued walking. Weird…it kinda looked like Hixel’s annoying ass… well- the chest area and color scheme at least. Baggie coughed then slowly got up, wincing at the pain in his arm and face before grumbling as he slowly turned to leave.

Azure made it into a small room and noticed some stuff in it.. more mini critters, yes. But there were also some boxes in there. Azure placed A.I.’s TV down on a small chair before lifting up her notebook and pencil again.

Azure: “Okay, so..we don’t have much information yet..but I’ve got a new idea! I knew some kids back at Playcare who COULD help…but I’m not getting them simply for the sake of not wanting to drag anyone else into this..so..I was wondering if you happened to know anyone who could help??…Anyone on your mind!

A.I.: “Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm… there IS Huggy but I doubt he’d have the time… Sandy…? I think he’d try to kill her at this point… yeesh… that screaming… Most of the people I know are either busy or sociopaths … I mean there is ONE “person” but I doubt Harley would let us borrow her… “

Azure: “Oh?”

Azure took note of how he said “person” like that. was she..not human? Maybe another artificial intelligence like him. But..she wondered who Harley was too. This “Person”… is she related to him? His daughter? Mother? No…sister? That all Azure could assume considering they’d need to “borrow” her. Sounds like a brother who’s really protective of his sister.

Azure: “Well…it’s still worth trying! What is she? Human? Toy? Hmm…pet??”

A.I.: “Technically “pet”… but it’s complicated… not really my place to tell. I’d say ask Dogday but I haven’t seen him in a while… I think the last time I saw him the boss leg sweeped him or something… either way legs were broken- Harley’s the guy I was talking about before I just didn’t mention his name :). Then again now that I think about it I’m not sure Baba would really help… :P”

Azure: “…Your boss broke someone’s legs?”

A.I.: “…Yes.” … “To be honest I don’t remember the details then again i don’t even remember when it happened-“

Azure stared at A.I. with a blank, emotionless expression, not moving an inch as she stared at him which was…pretty damn unnerving. Though she finally and eventually spoke up, just with a more concerned tone in her voice.

Azure: “..Your boss sounds mean. Does he…normally do that-?”

A.I.: “Ehhh… it’s an on and off thing he’s like it with whoever he feels like. he’s fond of Catnap though … some traumatic backstory involving the cat from what I heard- I don’t really know anything about it before you ask”

Azure: “..huh.” … “Scary.. well…since we can’t get any help, any more dangers I should be worried about??”

A.I.: “Hmm… not really sure who was on that list? I mean maybe some of them? But. What are the odds you’d stumble across any of them?”

Chester finally made it where he needed to go, taking small note of any toys in the area as he made his way down the hall. It shouldn’t be too hard to catch a couple of experiments. And judging from that blast he heard earlier… he could only hope that ONE of them was already wiped off his list. Watching as a hairless Huggy ran past him, Chester pried a pair of doors open and made it into…a giant room. Filled with a bunch of mini toys running around and trying to clean up stuff. Maybe they’re here…

Hexabug rummaged aggressively through the drawers. Multiple experiment files…except..they’re not for the experiments. They’re for the toys. One…particular one seemed to catch his attention though.. He picked it up before grabbing a few others as well. Hexabug had no idea why this other…guy…wanted them to be here…but…these files were telling him a LOT about the toys here.. it was honestly scaring him.. He’d punch this prick right about now if it weren’t for his apology earlier. He didn’t care for him..not at all. But at LEAST he has some decency to apologize to him..

HIxel on the other hand…was doing this for himself. He can’t believe his co-workers would just…take his corpse and bring it back to life! He’s not mad about that, no. He’s angry about the fact that they made him a roach of all things. THEN DEMOTED HIM BACK TO BEING AN EXPERIMENT! A.I. probably knew. He was there when he died. He SAW him. Traitors…all of them. Can’t help but wonder why Shortcake didn’t do anything.. but enough of the moping. They’ve got the files. Now they can leave. Hexabug couldn’t help but let out a huff as he began to unwillingly walk again. Ugh…

the prototype decided to make her a project and removed the damaged legs and arm to make her a sort of drone

he also painted her wings with a reflective paint so she can blind people with a camera flash (used to identify targets and stun them though can stun herself)

Her voice changes upon being controlled and its much harsher “CEASE HOSTILE ACTIVITY”

when not in action she stays stationary and barely able to move often in constant pain

she feels so much regret and pity to those she has to fight and capture….

These six little guys were made to test Motherboard’s capabilities with different types of children. Though, they were also powered off with her. While Motherboard was powered back on 7 years after the hour of joy, the 6 Daughterboards were powered on at separate times soon after her, with the last to be powered on being Malware.

• While the 6 of them are powered on, Motherboard actually has no idea where Bebe is. Due to it being coded into her however, she is fully aware that Bebe exists and displays signs of distress and worry whenever she “remembers” Bebe’s existence yet absence. Bebe was scrapped due to scientists remembering that Motherboard didn’t have arms and not wanting to waste their time adding them, simply scrapped Bebe after she was made. Due to this, her programming is a bit…off. (Dw, Bebe is alive.)

• Malware isn’t actually a “problem child”. She’s just autistic coded and due to it not being very well known about, they simply labeled her as “difficult”.

• While they’re all A.I., they seem to have the same level of sentience as their mother.

• They all have different nicknames for different toys and experiments. Though Analog simply refers to everyone as “sir”, “Doctor” or “ma’am”.

• Oddly enough, they’re programmed to have a “limit” to how long they can be away from Motherboard before “freaking out”. Bebe has the shortest time limit at 2 hours while Analog has the longest at 20 hours. After they’re within the same room or space as her from 20 minutes to 1 hour, the timer resets.

• They bother and try to talk to any toy/experiment that Motherboard is commonly found interacting with.

Anthony Mayer was a 17 year old orphaned boy living at Playcare after the loss of his parents. However, it seemed he was unaware of this.. He was very popular due to his habit of trading stuff he found to the other orphans for better goods. Despite being the stereotypical “cool kid”, he wasn’t actually as mean as you’d except and was more so laid back with a strange sense of humor and the behavior of a salesman. Surprised by his knowledge of business, the scientists put him through many tests as at the time..they wanted a toy to run either a win shop at the game station, the gift shop or the toy store back at Playcare. Finding out about this, his brother, Duke Mayer who was a scientist who knew about the bigger bodies initiative but was asked to be tasked with taking care of the toys as to not hurt them, asked to care for Anthony after he was made into a toy to make the time at playtime co. as a toy more tolerable.

After being made into a toy, Lolcat was incredibly successful at the gift shop. Being able to tolerate the amount of attention he was receiving, combined with the noise and pressure without breaking down or freaking out like most normal toys would was very impressive to the scientists. In fact, it seemed that Lolcat liked the attention. When the hour of joy came around, Lolcat did actually participate, tricking former scientists into heading towards dead ends for toys to capture them. He didn’t do it out of malicious intent or anger. More so because he wouldn’t want to anger The Prototype who seemed to have already been bitter about his brother, Nathan, another scientist who knew about his existence but kept silent out of fear. And even then, he purposely avoided going for innocents.

Nathan Mayer and Duke Mayer were both taken to be experimented on, with Nathan being made into an experiment named AlphaType due to The Prototype wanting to try and make another him while Duke was taken by Catnap, being made into Misery and being one of the first experiments made due to being a former scientist. His unnerving and creepy appearance is due to the fact that when he was made, the toys weren’t too aware of how to make a proper toy experiment.

While AlphaType usually roams around as a worker experiment deeper down in the facility working due to The Prototype’s orders, Misery often helps Draco with taking care of the experiments due to that being his previous job. Occasionally when Lolcat isn’t busy, he’ll go and visit Misery, remembering how kind he was to him during his time as a newer toy.

•Lolcat, despite being obnoxious from time to time, actually feels a bit of remorse for the innocents who were pulled into the whole “experimenting revenge” mess.

•Lolcat almost never takes off his glasses and if he ever happens to lose them, he immediately finds a replacement for them until he finds his old glasses again

•Usually Lolcat can be found either roaming around the factory, possibly looking for stuff to sell OR sitting at his gift shop. He considers his gift shop as his home and prefers if nobody bothers it unless he gives them permission to. And even then, that’s rare.

•Lolcat usually won’t do things for other toys or experiments unless theirs something in it for him. Unless he considers someone close, he won’t do much for them unless they buy something from his shop or make a trade.

•Some others who are cool with Lolcat are Six, Coo-Coo oddly enough, Pizzaman, Riggi, MMM and some others! He’d attempt to sell stuff to some other characters like Connie, Dogday, Doey, Macaroona and especially the orphans.

•AlphaType usually doesn’t speak unless spoken to first and even then it’s chopped down and raspy due to his vocal cords being messed up. He may shorten a toy’s name if he considers it to be too long.

•AlphaType prefers to stick to the lower floors because there are less toys and experiments there to try and attack him. He also likes the alone time.

•AlphaType actually quite likes the Mini Handymen! But there are few normal experiments he likes.

•AlphaType finds Coo-Coo weird and doesn’t like him due to him seeing him as a sort of “Jesus” figure due to his relation to The Prototype.

•Misery is supposed to walk on all fours, but due to how his legs and arms are shaped he can very well walk on two legs. Though this is sometimes bad for him as he may slip and fall due to the material on his feet.

•Misery often avoids security due to their aggression with intruders. He has nothing against them(mostly) but just doesn’t wanna witness them catch some unfortunate person.

•Misery may sometimes go and look for AlphaType but it’s rare that he ever finds the other experiment. Though, Lolcat is very easy to find!

•Misery doesn’t visit Playcare as for the same reason as some other experiments and toys. He looks too scary.

•Misery likes tea. A lot. It helps him cool his nerves.
