Apparently there's this new Deathslinger ship that I haven't known existed until recently: Caleb/Nancy, and HOLY shit, it's actually interesting and can see the similarities between the two. There's even a group chat. We're all dirty sinners, but if you want to join, I can send a link. Just going to repost what someone wrote as a post on reddit here, since I like it enough to make it an official head.canon and it words the ideas better than I ever could:

You can see where a large amount of muscle is missing on the side of his face. Depressions like that are usually caused if a bone or nerve is destroyed, which causes the detached muscles to turn anorexic.

Caleb has an add-on “Jaw Smasher”, which is literally “The bullet that ripped through Caleb’s jaw during a frenzy[sic] shootout”.

This is the first time that I know of where an add-on directly impacted the physical appearance of the killer due to backstory relevance. His face is twisted because a bullet went through his cheek and blew the hinge off his jaw, which left that nasty scar. Due to an inability for medicine to repair the damage at the time, the muscles on that side of his face died, causing permanent disfigurement.

His jaw healed sideways due to the blown hinge and probably lots of swelling from the injury, which is why his face is crooked, though it can be reset as shown.

There, hanging in the doorway: white berries with evergreen leaves hang, as if to mock him for something. She is there, too, his precious Zarina, looking as youthful and alive as ever. Tall frame moves to push past her into the saloon, not heeding the significance of said plant.
