Without a word Sanemi walks over to your bed and sits on the edge of it carefully as if you'll explode on him if he even just breathes too fast. He rests his hands on his knees tensely and you roll to your side to face him.

A beat passes and then hesitantly Sanemi puts an arm over your side and slows his breathing as if he's trying to not ruin this moment. Your eyes widen slightly in shock then after it subsided you curl up without closing that gap completely. "Sorry I get so cranky.." You take a slow breath, relaxing your shoulders. "I mean.. you would too if you got woken up.." Sanemi subtly shakes his head. "Nah… it’s okay. You were tired. We’re loud." You took his softer tone as an invitation and close that gap snuggling right up against him. Up this close you get a whiff of his scent- its clean laundry musky with pine, and something uniquely him. It's masculine. An involuntarily content sigh passes your lips. "Thanks for understanding." Sanemi stiffens from not expecting you to say that. His heart beats faster, wild. A second passes. Then another. His face is burning hot. None of you are sleeping now. Both too hyper-aware of each other. The room is so still the only sounds heard is Giyu flipping through channels out in the front room. Sanemi continues tracing his thumb in slow circles. He doesn't realize he's doing it anymore, it just feels right. He presses a feather-light kiss on the top of your head then freezes again. 'Did I do just that? Shit.' You lift your head up from his chest to look up at him and your eyes locked with your own cheeks burning hot. He looks at you startled with something deep and unspoken. His breath hitches again and then without thinking he leans in and kisses you. It's soft and unsure, moving his lips against yours with quiet wonder before he deepens it. Sanemi understood completely the way you held on to him like a plea. Pulling you with him he slowly rolled on to his back so you're half-draped over his chest and more hidden from the door. As soft footsteps are heard coming down the hallway he gently strokes your hair in quiet reassurance. 'I got you.' You close your eyes pretending to be asleep. Giyu's footsteps pause outside the door then quietly cracks the door open to peek inside with his usual calm expression. Giyu stares into the darkness, narrowing his eyes. He's not stupid. He sees how Sanemi's hand rests on your back too protectively. While you both pretend to sleep still Giyu pushes the door open wider and steps inside. Sanemi tenses but keeps his breathing steady. Feeling Giyu's presence close to the end of the bed you peak your eyes open as if to pretend you're now just waking up and mimic a sleepy slur. "Hmm.. hey, something the matter?" Giyu blinks, surprised to see you awake. "… I heard a noise." He lied. He didn't hear a damn thing but still came to check on you anyways. He flickers his eyes from your face to Sanemi's frozen one then down to his arm used as a shield again. "Sorry if I was snoring too loud." You open your eyes more and lift up slightly. You're almost envious that Sanemi is a better faker than you are. Giyu keeps his gaze on Sanemi still. "…You weren’t snoring." Then unexpectedly he walks over to other side of the queen-sized bed and sit quietly down on the edge. Your eyes follow him. "There's room.." You quietly invite him. Giyu once again looks at the space Sanemi takes up on the other side of you then back to your face and nods after a second. He carefully and quietly slips under the blanket next to you as you lower yourself back down fully on Sanemi. Sanemi remains "asleep" but his breathing hitches aware of what's going on. The dip in the mattress from Giyu's weight is too hard to ignore. Your weight on top of him gets him to finally exhale relieved, maybe even a little happy. He wraps his arm around you again except this time its more like he's claiming his spot. Giyu lies down stiffly at first with his hands folded over his stomach. He's not used to this kind of closeness with anyone, let alone in a bed. After a few moments the warmth slowly seeps in and he moves one hand lightly to your shoulder.

You stiffen slightly from the unexpected touch but quickly relax again. Well, relaxed enough despite your heart pounding in your chest. You decide to do something daring. You carefully roll over to your other side to now face Giyu, locking your gaze on him. The air feels thick and your mind is filled with questions. Giyu holds your gaze unblinking and unflinching. For once he's not trying to look away or retreat. Giyu searches your eyes trying to read something below the surface. Behind you Sanemi is painfully still, heart pounding loud enough that Giyu could probably hear it against the pillow. In the electric and tense stillness Giyu unexpectedly leans forward slowly and presses his lips against yours tentativey out of curiosity and aching tenderness from someone who rarely shows affection. At first you quietly gasp in surprise from being caught off guard. 'Did Giyu really just? And is it because he thinks Sanemi is asleep?' Your mind races again and secretly like it. 'His lips are so soft.' You relax and kiss him back. Giyu is surprised you kissed him back but doesnt pull away. He slowly brings one to cup your cheek and gently brushes your skin with his thumb. He kisses you like water- calm flows of emotion with no rush or force behind it and sweet in a way that makes the moment feel sacred. Behind you Sanemi is burning. Not angry yet, stunned and confused. 'He just kissed her right after I did!' And damn you almost feel guilty but you can't stop kissing him even though you know you should. You lean into it to deepen it. With confidence blooming Giyu slides his hand into your hair, pushing through the strands as he tilts his head to fit better against your lips. With eyes closed he breaks the kiss for air and rests his forehead against yours. Sanemi finally moves with silent purpose. He rolls over, pressing up against you. While you're still wrapping your mind around what just happened as you hold on to Giyu catching your breath as well you stiffen again. Your fingers flex on Giyu's side. 'What's he gonna do??' Your mind races once again wondering what's going through Sanemi's head after just getting a front row seat to that. Sanemi presses closer up against your back and wraps his arm around you like he's reclaiming something that was his first. Your heart stutters. Giyu opens his eyes and a heavy silence fills the room. They exchange glances over your head in silent communication. Sanemi then rests his chin on top of your head. They both hold you without fighting over you (yet). Giyu lowers his forehead against yours as a quiet plea for another kiss. Sanemi squeezes you tighter. Your breath hitches from the combination of Sanemi's breathing on the back of your head and Giyu's face moving closer again. You part your lips and kiss him again. Sanemi stays still, lingering his touch a moment longer not wanting to disturb you now that sleep is taking over for both you and Giyu.
