“Of course!” He agreed. As for the kiss… he didn’t mind at all, returning it with a kiss to Will’s forehead.

Will giggled a bit, this was nice... If this was what dating Ryuzaki would bring, they were all of it.

“G.. good! We can figure it out together! Just let me know if I ever mess up or something, eheh…”

“Then we are dating!” He gives a grin, pleased as could be about it.

“I, uh… never have dated before though… hmm..” now he was worried he might screw up.

He returned the hug, purring like a motor as he did so. If given the chance he could just stay like this, honestly.

After a bit though… he felt as if he should confirm something… “S.. So… does this mean we’re dating now?” They did both say the liked each other but still… he felt like he should ask.

“Nope, I mean it!” He assured. His idea of pretty might not be the same as the average person’s though given that he was a dragon and all… All he knew was that when he looked at them he saw the most amazing, dazzling, person in the whole world!

“Yeah? I.. I guess it’s quite the surprise…” a human and a dragon falling for each other… definitely not something many thought would happen.

He let loose a purr, affectionately nuzzling into Will.

“It is, but... a nice surprise...!” They snuggled up a little closer to him. “You know... thinking about it, I’ve found you really pretty ever since that day...”

“R… really!?” He sounded shocked and excited, a big ol’ grin spreading across his face before he pulled Will into a hug. He was elated!

“Y...yeah!” Will returned the hug, giving a little giggle. “I never would have thought...”

“Y… yeah.” He gave a vigorous nod, absolutely certain of his feelings towards them.

“Y.. you… think…?” He tilts his head, eyes still wide as he looked to them.

Ryuzaki let out an embarrassed groan as he put his face in his hands. Taking a second to compose himself again.

“I.. I mean like… I… I like you in a more than friend sort of w.. way.” His stuttered a little but managed to get it out better worded this time.

“Y...you mean you...?” Their face went about as red as a tomato at that point. “Oh! You like me like that, I-I...” They were flattered and... Was their heart beating a little faster?

Ryuzaki tried to straighten up but couldn’t keep from fidgeting, still incredibly nervous.

“W…well.. I, um… you… er… I mean…” He felt so tongue tied, gah! “I like you!” Finally it came out and his face went red, pupils going wider than saucers. He had wanted to be a bit more… delicate with it but well.. now it was out in the open he supposed.

Will, as sweet as they could be, was dense. So dense, in fact, they didn’t get exactly what Ryuzaki meant. “Well, i like you too! You’re my best friend! I don’t see why you had to invite me over to say that, though...”

“You’re doing pretty good right now.” He pointed out with another purr in his tone.

“Me too… I was so afraid when I thought I’d lost you….”

“Y...you really think so?” They clearly felt happy to hear that. I-I’m so glad...!”

“It’s okay, not your fault.” Although their earlier reaction to him had still left a sting… but it was fading.

“Same to you.” He purred just a smidgen louder this time, clearly pleased.

They put their head against his with a sigh. “I could still do better to not be part of the problem, though...”

“Yeah… I think the saying ‘we’re more scared of them than they are of us’ applies here. After all people killed dragons… a lot.” All those stories of people slaying dragons had another side to them if you thought about the dragon’s perspective.

“But, I am glad we became friends…” despite his initial uncertainty.
