I'm like five episodes into Pursuit of Jade and so far, to my understanding, Yan Zheng is a 'cat'. It's like Fan Changyu found a wild tiger in the forest and decided to keep him as a house cat. "no, Fan Changyu, that is not a house cat, that is an apex predator" well what does Fan Changyu care, if he behaves like a house cat then he is a house cat: Sitting around, looking very pretty, watching everything from a high vantage point, and also ready to murder you on the shortest of notices if you look at his wife (whom his marriage with is based off of convenience and tax benefits) wrong.
