Its sleeve season so I know a lot of people might be inclined to slip into old habits, myself included. Here are some tips to stay safe from your bad habits his sleeve season:

Tell yourself you’ll do it tomorrow

Putting it off for just a day can be a big step towards showing yourself YOU are in control. Say this to yourself every minute if you have to. Say it everyday until you don’t need to anymore.

Draw where you want to hurt

Seeing a beautiful flower instead of past scars can remind you of hope and how much better it feels to be healthy. It can also give you something to do on your body without hurting you.

Leave inspiring notes

Seeing inspiring messages or a mantra to keep you away from harm can really help. Leave yourself notes or ask someone else to do it for you if you can’t.

Put away sharp objects

Just the convenience of having tools can make a person fall into old habits. If you need to, lock away knives, lighters, scissors, anything you have to to stay safe.
