hera looks back at the red dress and smiles proudly. she is feeling in every way the goddess she was. “well, up of course. zeus is coming home today. we have to show him what he has been missing.” and what he was exchanging while hanging with those mortals instead of her.

“well, is that what you call him?“ chuck. what a simple human name. how strange he was. the goddess reaches, a hand coming in contact with the man’s arm, gentle, but only lingering. “we don’t want the world to end, samuel. we live in it. so yes. we are rooting for you.“

“does he know? I wouldn’t know, I haven’t meddled with other pantheons that much.“ a short pause, as she considers it. “perhaps I should.“ she wasn’t the one who broke the sanctity of marriage after all.

“I know, funny though, that you think you can hunt us.“ she thinks of artemis, the goddess of hunt and how she would laugh at the idea. “I like you two.  we are all rooting for you, to be honest.“

“yes, of course he did. sometimes I wonder how he managed to become ruler of Olympus.“ then again, she knows. intertwined stories, he gained that title all fair and square. and hera is wife and queen. “of course Paris would choose aphrodite. . .she always gets her way.”
