The Talk From HOBAK: “HOBAK (Hella Organized Bay Area Koreans) just launched a video called “The Talk” - and we wanted to share it with you! We put this video together as a response to the challenge of talking about anti-Black racism and the Black Lives Matter movement with our Korean families. We’re hoping it can encourage and support a wide range of folks (not just Koreans) to open up this dialogue. We see it as our responsibility to do what we can to push our own communities - and that often starts with our own families.”

'Like flowers in the sky' was a poem originally published at The Feminist Wire in August (as part of 'Poems for Ferguson' alongside 'How do I love thee?' by Aya de Leon). The poem seeded a choreography with fellow API artists Eunice Cho and Proma Ray, which we premiered at Dance Chance Atlanta in October. Video and further updates to come.
