Monstober - Behind the Mask

I planned to make this post over the weekend but with the news of the sequel I feel inspired to post it now Not to call out anyone specifically - since I don’t feel that’s warranted - but it troubles me to see just how many varied gifsets there are of Carlos De Vil with a white mother instead of either Wendy Raquel Robinson’s Cruella or another Black woman in her place. Whether or not this is meant on purpose the act of doing this is erasure of both Carlos’ & Cameron’s ethnicity. Carlos De Vil’s is black & so is his mother so please try to consider other options when creating media that involves him or her in the Descendants universe.
