So I've been in a bit of an inner debate for the past year or so on whether or not I wanted to offer online tarot/rune readings. I was against it for a long time, cuz we pretty much always have the customer handle the deck/stones during a reading.

But today after I did the weekly reading, I figured wait... how different would it be? I do a remote reading for the collective every week, surely I can do digital call readings as well!

So consider this the official announcement! I will be sharing this post on instagram and facebook, and then updating our website as well.

I'm pricing the readings at $20; which is up five from our fair/festival prices cuz it's more difficult to read over the computer rather than in person. But I think it's a fair deal cuz it's still a four-card reading with a floral oracle and a crystal clarifier. Rune readings are the same price and similar set up; four runes, flower card, and crystal.

The thing that makes Megamind so brilliant is that practically none of the individual parts of the narrative are original.

There have been plenty of stories about Heroes wanting to quit.

There have been plenty of stories where villains turned a new leaf and became heroes.

Hell, "we created this villain while trying to create a hero" isn't even that original.

But "hero quits" stories are always told from the point of view of the hero. And "Villain becomes hero" is generally "something happened and they had to make a choice".

But "Villain gets everything he wants and discovers he never wanted it in the first place?" "Hero realizes that all he's doing is feeding into a cycle that neither he or the villain chose?"

"But you'll have more money!" does not completely put this to rest for me. Neither does "Buy care insurance!" Even if I can afford direct personal care, who is going to advocate for me to get it? Who is going to navigate bureaucracy for me when I'm 80?
