ecceridspec, official coining.

hello, I am Deadly or D?rling. I am a label hoarder who likes making terms. I wasn’t able to find something this specific, so I hope my coining it is fine.

I’ve been workshopping the name for a while, and finally landed on eccerid(x). The prefix can be combined with any existing suffix like (x)romantic/sexual. I had originally planned to make flags for ecceridromantic, ecceridsexul, ecceridfamilial, ecceridplatonic, and ecceridcommunal, but the only idea I had looked too similar to the apothi- flags.

The prefix is inspired by the Latin word ecce, which according to my sources loosely means behold, and the English word rid, which means to make a person free of something (usually unpleasant).

The defintion is as follows.

“A label in which one may feel a type of attraction, but as soon as one realizes what one feels, is overcome by disgust, rage, horror, or any other strong, averse emotion. One is repulsed by the feelings one may have, and desires to be permanently free of them. One may avoid relationships of a/an [x] type because of this feeling. Additionally, one experiences a negative averse emotion to seeing [x] relationships amongst other individuals, as well. This label falls under aspec.”
