DON'T LOOK IT'S GAY

Abuse masked and presented as concern is the worst to combat, how are you supposed to figure out that person who seems honestly scared and concerned for you is only saying it with intent to control you? how are you supposed to not give the benefit of the doubt that this person might care about you, that they might be worried for you, that it’s hurting them when you do things they say are bad for you or dangerous for you? abusive parents are able to convince everyone, even you, that everything they do is out of worry, to make sure you’re safe, because if you went off on your own it would be too much, that you need them to stay alive. It puts you in position where you have to watch what you’re doing, you have to stop doing activities that cause them to “worry”, you have to pretend in front of everyone that you’re okay even when you’re not, because otherwise you’re making your abusers “worry” about you. I’m so sick of it and it’s so hard to dismantle. Abusers can burst into tears out of fake worry only with intent to keep you trapped, to keep you guilty and to keep you controlled. And they feel nothing while doing it, they would break your heart and feel nothing, only desire to control, to keep you in the dark, to keep getting away with abuse.
