Wade and Logan were not, in fact, decent. As a matter of fact, they were naked and on the kitchen floor, covered in flour, sugar, and all the ingredients they had been intending to make into a cake for Laura’s birthday. [...] which is why it was Wade who called out:

Summary: Peter Parker was no stranger to strange situations. At this point his normal was abnormal. So when he woke up one day and realized he was in a different universe, he decided it might as well let it happen. What he didn’t expect was the family he found along the way.

Excerpt:

“Who are you?” Peter asked with narrowed eyes. Still, he let himself be pushed back down onto the couch as Logan and Laura worked together to clean and patch up his wounds.

“Oooooh multiversal traveler, interesting. You can tell when I break the fourth wall, can’t you?” Wade winked at the camera that doesn’t exist because this is a fanfic not a movie. Peter shook his head like he was trying to get water out of his ears.

“Is everything you say always so confusing?”

“That’s just Wade, he’s like that.” Laura replied dismissively.

Here is what I saw on a second watch...

When Cassandra is in Logan's head, Logan tells her (I won't be able to quote it exactly, but if my memory serves) "They called after me... and I left anyway. I always do." He is haunted by memories of people asking him for help and asking him to stay. He let all of them down. He has always turned his back on the people he cares about, always, he knows that's who he is. He's the worst Wolverine. He's not a hero, he's not even a good guy.

Now, (bare with me) the whole time I was watching it, and frankly all week long, Like A Prayer by Madonna has been stuck in my head, so I keep thinking about the lyrics:

Life is a mystery

Everyone must stand alone

I hear you call my name

And it feels like home

When you call my name, it's like a little prayer

I'm down on my knees, I wanna take you there

In the midnight hour, I can feel your power

Just like a prayer, you know I'll take you there

Which it an insane thing to play while they're holding hands self sacrificing together, btw, but it got me thinking... Do they ever even say each others names?

The whole movie it's all "Bub" "Wolvie" "Honey Badger" "Peanut" even "Log"... Why make the choice to use a line like "I hear you call my name, And it feels like home" for characters that don't even use each others names? Why that song choice?? Well. Immediately after that song plays, Logan leaves. Like he always does, he tells Wade he probably wont see him around and leaves.

That's when Wade calls his name, all it takes is "Logan" and Logan is turning around, and for the first time, staying.

♡ What is a bang?

A bang is an event that pairs writers and artists together to work on a project. The writers will anonymously pitch fic summaries, after which artists will choose the one they like on a first-come-first-serve basis to make art for. All works will then be posted under one AO3 collection. A mini-bang is a smaller version of a bang with shorter word count requirements.

♡ What would a fic for this bang entail?

This bang will accept Poolverine fics of any genre, trope, or rating, as long as they involve the Valentine's Day holiday! This could mean anything: the celebration itself or the planning of it, a big bash or a quiet night, one day or through the years, happy or sad or anything in between.

♡ Who can participate?

Everyone! Those under 18 are welcome as well, although they will not be able to pitch explicit fics (writers) or choose them to draw (artists).

Should enough people be interested, the rough timeline is as follows:

15th Nov: Interest check closes

16th Nov: Signups open

1st Dec: Fic summary submissions open (writers)

22nd Dec: Fic claims open (artists)
