Black Sheep House has been growing in popularity and now growing in importance to the scene of South Florida; socially, culturally, and politically. Many amazing shows have been held in this place and there are many more to come. Most of the feedback has been very inspiring to say the least. However, anybody who has been here knows that there are some really important improvements to be made. Let's be honest; broken doors, holes in the walls, missing appliances, not to mention the lack of a/c, and a bit more that is incredibly visible for anyone who comes in. So I'm asking for some help. None of us are by any means rich and there's a lot to be done here. I want this place to be safer, better, and more comfortable for any future events. I put the goal of 600 because I didn't want to overwhelm with too big a number, but it will have to go further than that. First, we have to start with the back doors which anybody who has been here has no doubt seen. Not only do they make things very unattractive, they make the house very unsafe. But if this goes well, it won't be a problem for much longer and we can move on to make it so that this place can be more appealing and comfortable for all. So it won't be very cheap, but with all your help we can make Black Sheep House the best venue for house shows and more in all of South Florida for years to come. Plans to be implemented after improvements are made include but are not limited to: Food Not Bombs cooking and food prep, discussion groups, film screenings, collective gardening, and the occasional open mic.
