Hey y’all! I realized yesterday that I very quickly can get burned out - I hate making excuses but I do see that I need some help, otherwise I’ll get overwhelmed - so I am now looking for a co-admin! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
The app is here.
If anybody is interested, y’know, take a look around, check out the app!
Dead Center is a mature OC roleplay, based on the Left 4 Dead games.
In other news, today I will be queuing some more promos including my search and the app link for a co-admin. I will be replying to the other players, ‘cause I’m slacking (sorry!), and I might try to get some shoutouts for my co-admin search.
If anyone has any questions or comments, feel free to send in an ask!

[LEAVING THE ATLANTA SAFE ZONE] Start time: 6AM GMT, April 7th | End time: 11:59PM GMT, April 9th
Survivor info
It's a long, dangerous road out there, better to be safe than sorry. The survivors leaving each have a pistol of some sort, and one other gun with them. Everybody's got a med kit, just in case, and some food and water. Not much, but enough to make it to the next safe house - Capitol View Manor - about three and a half miles away. Three and a half miles outta five hundred. Well, they gotta start somewhere.
Player info below
Along the way, the survivors will have plenty of run-ins with the common infected. Certain survivors will also have to deal with a special infected - you’ll get a message about that - but nothing too dangerous. The Manor is a bonafide safe house, so there'll be plenty of supplies and enough space for everyone to catch their breath.
Not all the survivors are used to fighting the infected back, with the added stress of having to hike across dangerous territory, so some might have to deal with blisters, or achy muscles, the next day. They’ll stay at the Manor for the first night, and then move on.
If you’re having trouble plotting, or connecting to some of the other characters, feel free to send me an ask and we’ll work it out.
Good morning y’all! My internet is finally back up (woohoo!) so I’m finally able to get back into the swing of things. Today I’ll be working on refilling up the promo queue (which ran out yesterday I think), and focusing on doing my own character’s starter and then replying to everybody else.
Also thinking about possibly looking for a co-admin... but more on that in a day or two.

Hey everyone! Happy Easter to those who celebrate it!
So first off, this is my first time as an admin and I feel like I have not been as organized as I should’ve been for opening day, that’s my fault and I apologize for that.
I’m switching the events (and any other post that I’ll need to include the time in) to GMT. It’s much easier for everybody else, and for me. I'd advise using this place, 'cause it's just real easy to use and see like the other people's times and stuff.
And that leads to my next point, obviously I really didn't take into mind everybody else's timezone (plus Easter Sunday), so the first event has been lengthened till 11:59PM GMT, April 6th. That way everybody's got about another day to a day and a half to get their first intros/starters/etc. out.
Okay, that's about it for now. Again, sorry for any inconveniences and for me being unprepared, hopefully it'll be a bit easier from here on out. My internet should be coming back on Monday sometime, so I'll be able to spend more time on the main and on my character's blog pretty soon. If you've got any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me.
[THE DAY BEFORE...] Start: 11PM GMT, April 4th | End: 11:59PM GMT, April 6th
Survivor Info:
This is the day before they leave on their journey to find the cure. The last day of relative safety, the last day in cramped quarters. The group who have volunteered are free from doing supply runs, as they’ll need all their strength for tomorrow.
Player info below!
Player Info:
This is your character’s last day in the safe zone, what are they doing? Packing? Saying goodbye to the people they’ve met? Making promises to be on the lookout for family members of other people? Meeting up with the other survivors who’re going on this dangerous journey with them? You decide! This event can be covered in self-paras, and feel free to have a self-para over this, but it would probably be in the best interest of everybody if the survivors met (either as a group or one on one) before leaving Atlanta tomorrow. Tag self-paras and starters concerning this event with dead ce!

✘ HISTORY ✘
Uma never thought her life would turn out quite like this. She married her high school sweetheart, Jack Knight, and they had had plans. They wanted to travel the world, to have nothing holding them back from a life of adventure. But during Jack's last year of college, they got pregnant. That was an immediate stop to the majority of their plans, and Uma's working days - Jack wanted her to be a stay-at-home mom, at least for the early years, and she didn't mind. Jack worked and she stayed home with their baby girl. Then came the next child. Two kids and four years later, their plans are down the drain. Uma loves her children, and Jack's making good money, but honestly some days she wants to go back to work, or school, or just something else other than being a housewife.
✘ PRESENT DAY ✘
Of course, now Uma looks back and wishes with her entire being that things could go back to how they were before. Jack had insisted she go with her friend's to Atlanta to have a fun Girls’ Weekend trip. She didn’t have to worry about the kids or the house - Jack had it under control. And now she was stuck here, in the Atlanta safe zone. No one’s willing to take her home to Thomasville, GA., so when the call goes out - they need people to go see if the cure is real - she volunteers. Thomasville is on the way to Orlando, and nothing is stopping Uma from going home.
✘ Weapons ✘
Uma’s pistol of choice is the P220. If she can find it and the ammo, she does prefer a silenced submachine gun over the pistol. For a melee weapon, she likes the machete ‘cause its got a long reach and it’s a heavy-duty weapon.

"In mountains that are stacked with fear but you’re a king and I’m a lionheart."
✘ HISTORY ✘
Letha lived a semi-normal life with her parents and siblings until she reached the age of twenty when both of her parents mysteriously died and her brother took her and her sister’s inheritance and ran off to France. Letha had dreams of becoming a nurse but unfortunately that didn’t go to plan, without any money Letha had to work two jobs to save for college but the years still weren’t kind to her, she didn’t get enough money to go to college as she had to pay for her younger sister and could only save little amounts.
By four years Letha still didn’t make it to college, she barely had enough money to buy what her sister wanted, Letha was the type of girl who put other’s before herself, something which she had always done, when the zombie apocalypse came Letha didn’t know how to cope but tried to stay strong for her little sister, who she had lost during the apocalypse, Letha still doesn’t know if her little sister is dead or alive.
✘ PRESENT DAY ✘
Letha has become a lot more introverted than what she was before the apocalypse, she refuses to let herself get close to anyone out of fear of loosing them. She can come off quite bossy but that’s only because she wants things to be done as quick as possible and not dragged out however when it comes down to herself she is indecisive and doesn’t like herself to be the sole decision maker. Even though Letha doesn’t like to babied and see’s herself just as anybody else, she suffers from nightmares -when she does sleep and insomnia, she often has to ask the doctors for sleeping pills and more often then not they don’t give them to her. Letha isn’t a fan of going on runs but goes if there’s a person short or somebody asks her out of hope that she may find her sister along the way or dare she say it out loud, her brother. Even though she has only told limited people about her hopes in finding her siblings she usually hides her emotions to avoid being seen as weak in front of the others.
✘ Weapons ✘
Her melee weapon is a Katana, as she finds it easier to kill zombies from a distance rather than with an old knife which she also has just in case of an emergency. Letha doesn’t carry a gun except the pistol she was given with her as she thinks it draws too much attention by the noise it makes.
✘ PERSONALITY ✘
+ affectionate, brave, compassionate
- indecisive, bossy, sarcastic
✘✘ Letha looks a lot like Annasophia Robb. She is taken.
"Son, we just crossed the street. Let’s not throw a party ‘til we’re out of the city."
✘ HISTORY ✘
Lieutenant Commander Cameron James of the United States Navy never seemed to take a break. Roughly a month ago, Cameron arrived home on shore leave with every intention of spending his time visiting his family, catching up with old friends, maybe releasing some pent up… tension. Unfortunately, the Green Flu threw a nasty wrench into those plans; the day Cameron docked was the same day the flu became breaking news. With more and more people dropping out of contact with each passing day, Cameron wasted no time making his way back home—he had to make sure his own family was safe.
✘ PRESENT DAY ✘
After a fruitless frantic search for his family, Cameron found himself leading a small caravan of survivors to the rumored Atlanta Safe Zone. Even when the group first arrived, Cameron could see how blatantly overcrowded the once proud city was. Past experiences taught Cameron that there is strength and safety in numbers, but not this time. No, this time, it would end bloody for these survivors unless someone could find the cure. When word came that there was even a possible cure in Florida, there was no question in Cameron’s mind where he was headed next. Even if there ends up being nothing out there but undead and false hope, at least there’ll be one less mouth to feed.
✘ Weapons ✘
Cameron’s choice of weapons are a katana and a pair of P220 pistols. Cameron prefers the katana because it’s an elegant weapon that he can wield it with lethal precision.
✘ PERSONALITY ✘
+ careful, level-headed, stoic
- dauntless, rough, obstinate
✘✘ Cameron looks a lot like Alex O'Loughlin. He is taken.
Before the world went to hell Jake worked part-time at an old record store while attending university. He went out with his friends a lot in his free time- camping, fishing, hunting. They liked all that junk. They also liked video games and pretentious classic rock groups. He’d only recently gotten himself a flat. He was glad to give his mother a break from worrying about him all the time and rent was decent- especially since it was split with his roommate and best friend, Dave. Things weren’t so bad.
✘ PRESENT DAY ✘
The zombies- they fucked everything up.
He was glad he knew his way around a rifle, he supposed. He had that going for him at least. Ever since he’d first laid eyes on one of those grimy, rotten faces he’d wondered what it would be like if he didn’t know how to use a gun- if he’d even be alive. Was being alive even worth it? With things the way they were, the world was shit. Maybe that was why it was such an easy decision. He’d go and try to find “the cure”, or whatever. It wouldn’t do much for the ones with bullets in their heads, but it was an excuse to get out of the safe zone.
✘ Weapons ✘
Preference for crowbar or magnum pistol, silenced submachine gun or hunting rifle or m-16 assault rifle .

Letha was sat with her legs to her chest on the bed which she’d claimed as her own, she was reading some kids book about star-crossed lovers and how they had it so bad in their world, well they obviously didn’t live in hers, though the books reminded her of her sister she wasn’t sure if she wanted to continue reading the over-done and bad plot, she predicted that one of the kids was going to die and the other was going to be heart-broken, just like every other book she’d read in the safe zone. She reminded herself to ask if they’d get any new books soon they’d probably tell her to piss off and go on her run herself but she didn’t really care.
Letha put the book down on the bed and put her shoes on, trying to make the least noise as possible as it had to be around midnight and most people appeared to be asleep, she knew most of them probably weren’t. Letha grabbed her flash light, just in case she needed it. It took her around five minutes to walk to the medical room, finding nobody there she sighed and walked back to her room, it would be another sleepless night for her and she wasn’t looking forward to it.

Six days of near non-stop hiking, hacking, smashing, and keeping watch were beginning to take a heavy toll on lieutenant commander Cameron James. Six days now, since the SEAL was let off the tin can for shore leave; six days since the civilized world he returned to began to crumble. Six days now… and he was getting tired. Oblong shapes and faded lights flickered at the edges of his vision, but nothing there. The others were growing concerned, and with good reason. Cameron could count on one hand the number of hours of sleep he’d gotten in the past six days, and while no one said anything up front to him, he knew they were concerned.
Turning his head to assess the state of the rag-tag crew of survivors he’d acquired, Cameron knew they wouldn’t be able to make it much farther, either—and they were the ones resting when the group stopped. With the daylight fading, it became glaringly obvious that it was time to find a safe place to spend the night; any longer and the flashlights would draw the undead to them like moths to a flame. Fortunately, they weren’t completely in the middle of nowhere.
Spray-painted messages on the brick-walled buildings promised a secure safe house for those in need; sloppily painted arrows guided their way. They led to a high school—a former high school, anyway. This whole situation was just so—so fucked. Cameron felt his stomach twisting in knots as he took in the view of the three-story brick building. The sidewalks were splattered with blood and guts, and littered with bodies of all ages. The foul odor of decomposition lingered everywhere. Cameron heard a soft gasp behind him.
Turning, he discovered it had been Bethany. Bethany, the… librarian? Yeah, librarian sounded right.
A delicate, dirt-covered hand covering her mouth as she tiptoed around the carnage. Tears glittered in the corners of her eyes as she knelt down beside one of the bodies—it looked like a young girl, from where he stood. Cameron turned around, clapping Wilson, the cop, on the shoulder. Wilson took the lead, continuing up the steps toward the school. Cameron knelt down beside Bethany; she had taken the girl’s discolored, decomposing hand in her own. For a moment, neither she nor Cameron said a word.
“She couldn’t have been more than thirteen,” Bethany observed in low tones. Icy eyes flicked upward to meet Cameron’s. “She didn’t deserve this—she didn’t deserve non’a this!”
“None of us did,” Keeping his voice low and steady, he tried desperately not to envision his sister’s or his niece’s faces on the body. He almost succeeded. “But we have to keep our heads on, otherwise we’ll end up dead, too. Then who’ll be left to protect girls like her?”
More water pooled in her eyes and her gaze dropped; Bethany bit at her lip to keep the tears from spilling over. She snatched her hands back off the body to swipe at the tears before launching herself into Cameron’s arms. “I don’t wanna end up like that…”
Taken by surprise, a moment passed before Cameron slowly curled his arms around her back—tightly, protectively. There was nothing he wanted more than to tell her everything would be alright. That they would make it to Atlanta and all their problems would be solved. That her family and loved ones would be there waiting for her. That the military was there and ready to move out with a cure to neutralize the infection and bring those turned back to themselves…
But he couldn’t. The odds of anything remotely close to that happening were very, very, very slim, to none at all. He looked back at the young girl’s body again; Christina, Olivia, and Grace all stared back at him.
“As long as I’m around, you’re gonna be alright,” He murmured in her ear. “As long as I’m around, I’m not gonna let anything happen to you. We’re gonna make it to Atlanta, and… it’ll be alright. Okay?”
Noisy, wet sniffling was all he got in response—technically, it was his shoulder that received that response.
The echo of layers of plywood and chains hitting concrete drew them back to reality. The others had gotten a door open. Rory the English teacher and Aimee the nurse were looking particularly proud of themselves; Cameron would be lying if he said he wasn’t a little amused by the pair.
“C’mon, we don’t wanna spend the night out here.” Cameron prompted, clapping Bethany on the back a couple times.
“No—no, sorry,” She released her hold on the man, wiping her face off on the muddied sleeve of her sweatshirt before leaping back to her feet. With a half-smile, she muttered a ‘Thanks, Cam’ before bolting into the school. Cameron followed, but at a slightly slower pace.
Once the group crossed the threshold, they reconstructed the lobby’s barricade. Wilson insisted they secure each of the doors well enough to guarantee them at least eight hours of sleep before their fearless leader led them off a cliff due to sleep deprivation. It drew some nervous laughs from the group, but for once, Cameron was not about to argue with him.

The sky was beginning to darken as an out-of-breath boy worked away at tugging a freshly-shot, rather disfigured humanoid out of the middle of a vacant road and into the mouth of an alleyway. The boy, Jake, was clad in dirty faded jeans and a black sweater; a Winchester lever-action rifle was slung over one of his shoulders and a backpack over the other. The body that he dragged left a slick trail of crimson behind it, mixed with a few other substances that he could not put names to.
He was muttering under his breath by the time he’d transported the body to where he wanted it to be, and soon he was on his knees beside it. He procured a folding hunting knife from his sweater pocket and began to prod the corpse with the handle end, watching for any kind of reaction. Deeming the thing dead he rolled up his sweater sleeves, then flipped the knife around and slid the blade into the corpse’s belly. He jerked it down a few times, filleting through rotten flesh and muscle quite easily and making an incision into the stomach. His hands became coated in thick blood as he went through this process, making sure not to breathe through his nose as it might have made him gag.
