18 Years and Kind No Longer

Hey y'all I have been struggling immensely the past 6 months since losing my last job that had been up until then been going well. ON top of financial stress I am dealing with a plethora of medical issues some from stress some outside that. Rejection after rejection from jobs is incredibly demotivating and I'm struggling to remain hopeful. I need help to make sure i can cover my car and electric payments, and should I continue to receive rejections from jobs, rent. All of this too on top of needing food and gas for necessary travel as well. I know many have seen my dono post go around in the past but I'm sorry to say I still need a hand. My tentative goal (will vary should I get a job as I dont want to continue to accept donations once Im work stable + in case of unexpected emergencies) is $1600 by July 1st 2024. UPDATE 7-02-2024

Rent was made! The original goal was made by July 1st as needed. The month hit us with plenty of setbacks be it medically, or financially. That being said, because of everything extra money is still tight as in, I have none. We made the survival threshold to have a roof overhead but still are out of food, and behind on certain utility payments (not quite shut us off levels but we are getting dangerously close).

I start a volunteer position this Friday, unpaid obviously but I am hoping that by at least actively working I will have a better chance at a real job for pay. So all the while I am still applying and doing what I can so I ask again for help for my wife and I. We need to eat, plain and simple. On top of that we need money for the laundromat, toiletries and OTC medications to help with my medical issues. So we still very much need help. I hope I land a job soon and not have to beg so much but thank you for supporting us this whole time 'w` <3

Ever since I moved back in with my family this year after a tough breakup and a couple hospital stays, things have gone from bad to worse and I'm worried about my safety and future here. Everyday I'm stuck with abusive people who don't treat me as human, and the threat of violence keeps growing. Today somebody punched a hole in a door, so now we just have a door with a hole in it. I don't know how much longer I can stay here, and I've been looking for a job but haven't found anything due to how remote I am. My disability payments aren't even enough to live in a shared house, let alone by myself, which would be ideal and safer.

our housing situation is pretty shaky atm, and finding stability is important rn so jordan can be close to his treatment and our support network. im trying to find work in the area, but in the mean time we could really use help. plus, weve got our cats, and i need to keep them safe and settled too while theyre already missing their dad.

there have been some significant changes to jordan’s status. jordan is currently dealing with a suspected gastrointestinal bleed, a blood infection (bacteremia), and cellulitis on his hand and side, which have required intense medical interventions. the doctors have had to pause his chemo while they work on stabilizing him with multiple blood and platelet transfusions and trying to manage the bleeding.

why moving is urgent:

all of this has really shown us how crucial it is for us to be near the treatment center. we need to be there for him at a moment’s notice and support him through these rapid changes in his treatment and care. it’s not just for convenience; it's absolutely necessary for jordan’s care.
