Anyway, this drama recs list I made like three or four years ago is still excellent.

Hong Style Director said, “3 weeks before the drama production has started, everyone was worried about what kind of costume will be suitable for the opening (first scene). We adjusted the fabric (material), the drapability even the length to match with the hotel atmosphere. The golden gown thus created, succeeded in capturing Jang Man Wol’s alluring image by choosing heavy fabric and lengthened it. Lee Ji Eun also participated in discussing the idea of the purple dress that appeared in Episode 1.

Lee Ji Eun could recycle clothes from her previous historical drama, but due to Hong Style Director and Oh Choong Hwan PD desire of wanting to keep Jang Man Wol’s character to the fullest, all the clothes in the historical scenes are newly made. Hong Style Director said, “I consulted with the director to create/produce a new one in order to keep the character to the fullest. I made a costume using detailed design that only appeared on screen for 3 seconds. For the shoes, we prepared low heels for action scene and high heels for close-ups.”

Hong Style Director said, “the more frequent the actor does the fitting (tries on the costume), the more complete the costume. Lee Ji Eun did it enthusiastically despite her busy schedule”. 1 cm alteration on the lower end of the clothes can change the perception, that’s why Lee Ji Eun tried on the costumes more than 10 times per day.”
