“well, i’m not really here to work out. i do that in the dance studio. i’m actually just waiting for a guy i’m supposed to be tutoring…” she glanced at her watch, “fifteen minutes ago.”

‘alright... but.. why are you tutoring them... here?’ dominic question, giving her an awkward look as he stared around the gym then back at her, ‘this is a strange study area’

‘me? cold? never. it was like ninety degrees today.’

        Marcus laughed, continuing to snap pictures of himself sitting on the weight bench. “Shut the hell up man, I gotta get a good one for the snap.” The vein boy spoke up, switching positions. 

as evan continued to pose, a weight in her hand, she looked over her shoulder at dom with a bright grin on her face. “i gotta take the cute photos before i get all sweaty. i’m multi tasking and my selfies aren’t awkward, unless you feel awkward for staring at my ass.”

“ what context is this? jokes on you, babe. everything i do is awkward. including my selfies. ”

‘you sure about that? i mean, i’ve been through your snapchat and instagram and.. yeah.’

“c’mon man, if you looked as good as i do, pretty sure you’d be taking a bunch of selfies too. the ladies love it.”

“it is so. well, it’s not me who invented it, man. we just learn from other people’s wisdom.”

“yeah see, i’m telling you, we make really bad decisions. don’t let me cut my hair again, and i’ll stop you. even though your hair short doesn’t even look bad. why are you tired?”

“ currently? i’m on nothing— mainly just thinking about all the smaller things compared to the bigger ones. ”

“I really don’t understand why people do that. Or why people go to the gym that much in general…I can just go on a good walk around my neighborhood, and I’m on my feet all night when I’m waitressing. I don’t understand gyms. I don’t understand selfies of your butt.”

‘well... .weight lifting is a thing’ 

“you know, they’re probably trying to get your attention - showing lots of skin, trying as hard as possible not to sweat… basically screaming for adoration.”
