after elijah had sent the text of urgency, he couldn’t be more than grateful that jacqueline could make it over with in since a short notice. he headed down to the lobby of his apartment building to invite her up the proper way. he easily spotted the blonde through the sea of people, made his way over to her. he chuckled a bit, he felt bad now seeing how worried she was, ‘maybe it would’ve been best to explain why the sudden urgent text’ he thought to himself before speaking out loud. “no no, i’m fine, i should’ve explained over text why i needed you here… it’s maya, she sort of spilled grape juice all over her ballet recital uniform… yeah, it’s white and i still haven’t master the french braid as good as you. the recital is in two hours, that’s why I needed you here as soon as possible…” he screwed his lips to the side out of embarrassment, going on almost four years with the little one and he still hadn’t gotten it all down yet.

"You asshole.” With the heel of her hand she gently nudged his shoulder and exhaled a breath that felt like it had been lingering in her chest for what seemed like forever. “Don’t scare me like that, I thought something horrible happened. You can’t just do that to me.” Jacqueline lifted her chin up to the ceiling and ran a slender hand through her wind-struck blonde locks. It was in that moment that her lips coiled up into a grin to release a small giggle, her blue eyes shifting to meet his. “Pull that with me again and I’ll kill you.” The blonde playfully extended a finger out towards him before side-stepping him to make her way towards the elevator. “Now come on,” she ushered him to follow suit, “if we keep the little lovebug waiting, the stain will probably set.”

“That’s certainly true, yes, I still strongly advise you to send a few photos to Calvin Klein.” The blonde kept a tight-lipped grin present on her face; it was calm, collected, even in spite of the urgent bout of curiosity. Something wasn’t right and Jackie knew it, hell anyone capable of human interaction could easily sense the strong uneasiness billowing in the dead air spouting amongst them. It took everything in her power not to coerce him into spitting whatever it was he needed to say out, rightfully knowing patience was key in such a situation. Yet just like that, almost as if he had read her mind, the sound of his voice flooded her ears. And it wasn’t a tone she particularly fancied either. “My wish?” Her brows rose and she pulled her hand away, stunned by the low blow that punctured her thick-skin but what truly hit hard was the news that followed. "What the hell do you mean, my wish?” Despite the vast array of emotions tightening in her chest, all Jackie could do was cope in a vicious manner and it was all due to the mere fact that showing vulnerability ( especially emotional ) was an avid fear of hers. She hated to admit it, she couldn’t even admit it to herself, but Jackie was slowly falling for him. Why the hell else would she drop everything just to find out what was wrong? She wouldn’t do that for just anyone. To have him think he was just an afterthought not only insulted her, but angered her; however, he had every right to think that. After all, she never provided any reasoning as to why he shouldn’t have. “Wow –– wow.” Her heart fell heavy in her chest, knowing damn well there would be a chance she’d never get to see him again; and she cursed herself for it, for fearing love. “You know, I don’t understand why you’re telling me this. It’s not like I care, right? It’s your life, you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do. I just hope all goes well.” She swallowed thickly and bit down on the side of her cheek.

It’s entirely flattering with every positive thing the woman says, talking about the moment they met in person was kind of adorable. She feels blush fill her cheeks as she starts to chuckle, she couldn’t remember the last time she actually enjoyed making a video with someone else this much. “Can you blame me, I guarantee I’m not the only person who’s ever wanted to touch your hair.” she gently sits on the edge of the bed before shaking her head lightly with a smile plastered on her face. “If it wasn’t totally illegal to put on youtube, maybe I’d be down for it. But you’ll never know!” she tries to sound evil but she knows she falls short.She chuckles looking at everything she has to work with before hand, checking the different sizes and gets a feel for them so she doesn’t feel completely dumb doing this blind folded. “Mija, can you help me put this on and then I’ll bring out the color in your eyes.” On a day to day basis Skylar hardly used make up, eyeliner, mascara and lip stick was her staple look. Seeing tools and powders for contouring were a little intimidating but she knew she would have fun with this anyway. “Truth be told people, I wasn’t aware of the blind fold portion of this. I can’t do my own make up let alone someone else’s with no sight of what I’m doing.” She shakes her head “I’m not ready, at all. Let’s do this.” 

“So I might’ve forgot to mention the blindfold portion beforehand.” The blonde teased before draping the bunched up fabric around the brunette’s face, making sure to tie a tight enough knot. She frantically began to wave her hand in front of Skylar’s face, a giddy smile still plastered on her face. “Can you see this, can you see this ––” the girl held three fingers up, then four, before dropping it down to meet the other one by her sides. “Oh wait! Hold on! Let me put my hair up first. Wouldn’t want any foundation, or god knows what, in my hair.” Francesca teased, securing the elastic around her thick mane. “There, all set. I don’t know why I’m so nervous, I’m not the one doing anything.” A short sum of laughter withdrew from her lips as she edged her body to face the other. “Alright –– your canvas is ready.” It was during this particular time that Francesca caught herself admiring the other girl; her crystal blue hues slowly raking up the girl’s features, from her lips to her button nose. Now she understood why her fans ( it was still rather odd that Fran actually had fans ) would always tweet her, constantly spamming her mentions, clueing her in on the fact that they shipped her with Skylar. Some even went as far as making manips. “So,” the girl exhaled, “why don’t you let my viewers know what kind of videos you make, y’know, just in case they have absolutely know idea because they’ve been –” she took the time to address the camera, “living under a rock.” She giggled and relaxed her face muscles.

Aiden had been too engulfed in his phone to notice Sadie standing there; it wasn’t until she spoke up the second time that he drew his attention away from his phone screen and looked at her with a surprised expression. He had asked her out a few days ago and she had turned him down. If it was anyone else, Aiden wouldn’t have felt so effected by it but when Sadie had declined it had been a shock to his ego. He didn’t know what it was about her that was so compelling but whenever he was in her presence he felt some kind of pull that would make him gravitate towards her. The difference between Sadie and the girls he usually went for was quite refreshing, he found her to be interesting. Upon hearing her change of heart, he shoved his phone in his back pocket and grinned at her. “Really? I’m glad to hear that” He replied. “We can go somewhere now if you like?” He glanced at the cinema across the street then back at her. “If you don’t have anywhere else to be”

In high school, Sadie wasn’t the type of girl to spend her weekends downing cheap booze or spending her savings on a dime of weed that was probably just a plethora of spices concocted together and shoved in a bag. Instead, she devoted her time to ballet, whether it be taking classes herself or assistant teaching little ones and when she wasn’t dancing, she was studying or spending time with her older sister. And when the time came for her to jet off to college ( well, a prestigious ballet academy ) not much changed. It came as quite a shock when Aiden had initially asked her out which was why she declined in the first place. She hadn’t known much about dating, so she was –– well, scared. In fact, she still was. “Now? Y – You want to go now?” She swallowed thickly and continued to rock on her feet. “I uh – I mean, I have –” Of course, ballet, but for the first time she actually contemplated skipping. “Sure, now sounds alright,” her lips pressed into a gentle grin, “but I don’t have any money.” 

Brendan didn’t do it often, but when he had the time he liked to spend it with his grandfather. He had spent four long years at college and now that he had his degree in computing and business he was more than happy to spend a couple of months at home with his family, even if his father was never home with work and setting up a new real estate agency. Settling himself down the man watched Lester go about his usual routine and smiled to himself, “you know you eating here all the time is gonna end up in you getting a heart attack”, he teased, although even he couldn’t deny how good the food looked. He couldn’t help but feel bad for his grandfather, he was lonely. His mother ( and Lester’s daughter ) tried to spend time with him, but she worked in Brendan’s fathers business and it was all moving so damn fast. The least Brendan could do was spend time with the man. Watching the blonde girl rush around the diner he raised his eyebrows, studying her subtly while his grandfather decided what he should order too. As she came over to serve them it clicked in his head who she was and he smiled, “ah so you’re Sadie, you know Lester talks about you all the time. I think the old man has a little crush on you”, he joked, nudging the man and laughing. “I’m Brendan, Lester’s grandson”, she seemed a little on edge so he decided not to divert her attention too much, just sitting and watching as the coffee overflowed on to the table. “It’s alright don’t worry about it, rather have too much than too little”, he commented, it wasn’t common for Brendan to be so nice but she seemed stressed and his grandfather was with him, he was hardly going to be an ass over some spilled coffee that she had cleaned up. “Maybe a glass of orange juice? If you don’t mind? I don’t wanna put you out…if you’re busy”, and while the place was pretty busy Brendan wondered just why she was so flustered. It was a little amusing he wasn’t going to lie, but he didn’t want to embarrass her either. 

“Lester,” she over-dramatically gasped for emphasis, “I thought we were strictly platonic.” The blonde pried her eyes away from the elderly man’s grandson to address him with a smile, the back of her hand gently striking his shoulder moments after the younger man did so. She tried not to focus her attention on his grandson for far too long, in fear she’d have yet another slip-up even though she couldn’t get over how – handsome he was. Just seeing a new face wander into the dainty diner was enough to keep the blonde interested, especially one around her age. The only group of guys that wandered in were ones she went to school with, decked to the nines in their designer threads and snapping at her when they needed something; they treated her more of like an object than an actual person. “Put out –– put me out –– I, sorry,” she shook her head and silently cursed herself, exhaling the breath she’d kept in since she’d last spoken. “Sorry I, uh –– a glass of orange juice is it.” She smiled and immediately felt a weight lift off of her chest when she turned around. As soon as she made her way behind the counter, the familiar rang her ears and she froze. Speak of the devils and now of all times. “Hey! Diner girl.”  Picking up the glass of orange juice, Sadie gently set it down in front of Brendan. “Here you go,” she swallowed thickly and quickly glanced over at the rambunctious group of guys, “Now, Lester I already know what you want, so don’t get all grumpy. Let Brendan take his time.” She pulled out her small notepad and pen, her teeth catching her bottom lip. “What can I get for –” the shout rang her ears again and she offered up an apology, darting her attention towards their table. “I’ll be right there.” Despite their obscene remarks, she remained calm - civil towards the group. “Lester, relax, they’re fine.” This time around she ignored their cat-calls to focus on the task at hand. “Uh – what can I get for you, Brendan?”

He placed his hands on top of hers where they cupped his cheeks and held them tight against his face. “An’ there ain’t nothin’ I can say to convince ya to let me give it up? ‘cause ya know I will. In a heartbeat, cher. Everythin’ I want is here.” The cajun never stepped foot outside of his homecountry until this semester and he never stepped foot out of Louisiana until he left for college two years ago. France was a place where he could let his soul breathe and his art thrive, but he wouldn’t graduate college here. 

“Do not be silly, not everything is here.” The female shook her head, her gaze drifting from his. She couldn’t believe someone would be willing to do so much, and for her nonetheless. It made her feel important, special, but if she were to simply let him act on impulse without recanting then it would’ve been selfish of her. “I want you to go back, to graduate and finish your education, and then come back. I will still be here when you return, but until then I would like you to send me pictures, paintings, drawings even if they are just rough sketches. I want to still cherish something; something that will remind me of you. Will you do that, for me?”

It wasn’t the first time Jack had been invited to one of these parties, but it had been the first time he had been without his sister Mimi. He could usually rely on her sarcasm and humour to get him through the endless photos that were being taken of his politician father and dermatologist mother. It was all very tiresome and they had even been invited before the party so that they could get photos with the party thrower; Jack was assured she was an old friend of his mothers. Curiously looking around as he was led through the foyer the last thing he seen was a flash of blonde before stepping back. “Excuse me?”, entirely bewildered by her reaction Jack watched his mother look back but waved her on. “Maybe you should watch where you’re going, you do know it’s rude to snap at guests like that? You should brush up on your manners…if you even have them.” Eying her for a long moment he side stepped her and carried on through the house, rolling his eyes while doing so. The last thing he needed was some air head coming for him because she couldn’t be bothered to look where she was going while complaining. 

“Believe me, I do, but I wouldn’t dare waste a courteous breath on someone like you –– whoever the hell you are.” As if her party-prepping couldn’t have gotten any more frustration, Anastasia had to deal with this. The dress she could easily handle ( okay, maybe not ), but she sure as hell didn’t have a patient bone in her body to override the amount of frustration gathering up instead her all due to one single person. Who did he think he was? Before she could really give him a piece of her mind, he’d been carrying on his way; and one could only imagine just how offended she was in result of such a bold move. “Hey.” The pads of her feet pitter-pattered along the marble flooring as she tried to catch up to the so-called ‘guest’. If she had it her way, which she practically always did, he would’ve been out on his ass faster than she could send a text. Wieseling her way in front of him all 5′2″ of her stood completely alert, her arms snaking over her robe-clad body. “You just can’t walk away from me like that. I wasn’t finished.” Her emerald grin eyes narrowed as she scowled. “Who do you think you are? You’re in my house, you cannot treat me –– one of your hosts for the evening, might I remind you, like that. Apologize. Apologize or I will not hesitant to have you escorted off the premises –– or better yet thrown out in the backyard with the dogs.”
