Been awhile since I’ve gone poking around the fandom with intent, constantly changing hyoerfixations are fun, but I’m looking for new reads; anyone have any good recommendations for country girl Kara and city girl Lena fics? Bonus points if it’s butch!kara but it’s not required. I just want something to read and that is the current troupe I’m after (thank you soooo much Leading Lady lmao) Ao3 fics would be preferred if possible! Thanks!

As a fun charity fundraiser event Lena lets Jess and Sam talk her into auctioning off a date with a few pretty people. Lena talks Kara into being a date as Supergirl expecting a chance to have a date night with National City’s own girl of steel would bring in large bids, what she doesn’t expect is that when the bidding starts her jealousy spikes and suddenly she’s paid $10,000 to make sure Kara doesn’t end up on a date night with the frisky trophy wife of a board member and Sam won’t let her live it down

In some universe before they start dating, before they even know they secretly have feelings for each other and Kara is dating Mon-El Lena is over the constant feeling of pining for her best friend that she contemplates having her heart removed so she can never feel love again. Luckily Sam keeps getting her to put it off while Alex works on helping Kara pull her head out of her butt.

You can’t tell me that at some point once they’re married Lena didn’t do the whole trend where she just flashes Kara and film her reaction and absolutely breaks Kara’s brain to pieces.

After Lena and Kara start dating there were a few times Lena came to work wearing the same outfit as the day before but no one dared to call her out on it because she gave them the ‘Business Lena Look’ as Kara calls it.

Part of me really really wants to write a silly story where Lena is practicing spells and something goes very wrong and she ends up turning herself into a black cat and Kara is just big dumb goofball that finds cat Lena and decides to keep her until she can ‘find her owner’ (we all know Kara’s gonna keep a stray cat with green eyes no matter what) meanwhile Lena is doing everything in her very limited ability to tell Kara it’s really her and Kara is just not getting the message. Lol not sure how they’d go about fixing the spell, probably true loves kiss or something sappy, but it just sounds like a really cute and silly idea I just can’t find the footing to start it 😅
