Thinking about you and Jason Todd having a regular diner you go to.
It is located not far from your shared apartment, and its squeaky leather booths have seen your relationship evolve overtime.
They have witnessed your first date, with all of the nervousness oozing out of Jason and his unsuccessful attempt to hide how enamoured he already was.
They have witnessed your first breakfast after sleeping over at his place, made of syrupy pancakes and shy shared glances, despite opening up to each other the previous night in ways both of you had never done before.
They have witnessed the first escape from a boring gala, opting instead for a burger and some fries, which you always steal from him, despite having your own. Not that he minds.
They have witnessed the aftermath of your first serious fight — the one that lead to you finding out about his vigilante identity. This time was more silent that the others, with you barely looking at each other. Your eyes were red from all of the tears you had shed, and his ribs were bruised after another night spent fighting crime while you wondered where he was.
The confrontation was brutal once he finally came home, bleeding on the living room carpet, but after destroying one another in ways only two lovers could, you picked yourself up, and without uttering a word you walked to the diner.
They witnessed the way Jason walked in a few minutes after you, wordlessly sitting at your usual booth, not daring to speak or touch you, afraid you would disappear from his life forever.
They witnessed the was Jason stood up, winching in pain, and moved over to your booth, unable to stay away from you any longer. And they also witnessed the way your head leaned to the side, resting on his shoulder.
Just like that, they had witnessed the moment when you and Jason realized that despite how painful love can be, you wouldn't have it any other way, just as long as you go though it together.
A/N: A tiny bit inspired by that one scene in 'The Drama'.
